  1. have you checked the condition of the brake hose as it could be expanding under use and need replacing

  3. hoping to get there for about 1pm iah and i will be off to sainsburys as well will need to get some food and beer
  4. at laest the out side skin of my tent goes up first so the inner stays dry
  5. defective rider all the way and it also depends on tyre compound if super sticky it will wear out faster
  6. the tappets could make it run like that as the vlaves will not be opening fully if they are loose(out of adjustment)
  7. they are the locknut and screw type on those engine you need to remove top engine cover to get to them and need to use feeler gauges to set correct gap between rocker and valve
  8. it might just be the clutch one that has gone and you happened to find it 2nd try putting side stand one back together and see what happens

  10. the bleed nipple is already fitted to brake caliper if you look on the front edge of it at the highest point it looks like a bolt with hole in the top,it might have a rubber cap on it
  11. you need a spanner to fit the bleed nipple,it is normally 8 or 10mm and a piece of hose to go from nipple into a clean container
  12. ive got to go up to grantham friday morning and should be away from there about 12 to try and find my way using homing pidgeon senses so should be there by ........................god knows when
  13. if your chain is that loose then yes it could be slipping round and jumping teeth on either sprocket so it sounds like its new chain and sprocket set time
  14. the vacuum doesnt work if you have the fuel tap in the prime position that allows free flow of petrol, you should only ever have tap in the prime positionif you have drained the carbs or run out of petrol and then as soon as the bike starts move tap back to the on or reserve position
  15. sounds like the battery could be dieing put volt meter across it with engine not running and with it running to check out what reading you get as it could be reg/rec over charging battery and boiling it dry of acid so check voltage if readings are fine then new battery time by sounds of it
  16. if you have had a lo of rain then water could of got into the electrics behind the side panel take them off check all the electrics there to see if any water laying on anything or pop into tescos and get a can of wd40 and spray that over the electic bits behind side panel then try it

  19. i think you will find the side stand switch and clutch switch are linked thats why it doesnt work
  20. brake slipping????........do you mean its not stopping the bike ? maybe its not fully bled properly or the rubber brake hose has perished
  21. when you turn the ignition on is the neutral light (green) showing bright on the clocks do the lights and horn work?is there an engine stop switch on right hand handlebar next to throttle and is it in the run position??

  24. as the new fluid is coming out as long as you are saving it into a clean jar/tub you can reuse it to top up
  25. regardless of age of cable check it isnt fraying at the top or the bottom and if it is fine make sure it is adjusted correctly or it might be time for a new set of clutch plates
