  1. 170 mile 5hr round trip, weather depending (now a fair weather rider) i'll attend
  2. Old age question with no real answer other than if they want it, they will get it, so by making it harder to get, they might not be bothered etc etc etc etc 10% of the value of your bike should be spent on security - so they say. I have the factory fitted alarm/immobiliser, as well as factory fitted Datatool. I also have a cheap sim card that pings me an SMS every 30 seconds if it moves out of a designated area, & my bike is stored in a shipping container with 2 abloy locks - #paranoia However whilst i am out on the road, due diligence is the key, & not being further than earshot/eyesight from your bike. And would i stop a thief/thieves? Depends on how many, and what they are carrying.
  3. I bought this, small but very streamline. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07213QBWG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_LxfABb52B89B4
  4. Have not worked now, took some translation studying & the app is not the best, but it keeps me happy.
  5. X3 led lights on signal gprs & power, with tesco £10 loaded credit - doesn't work
  6. The one i link too mentioned TLT2 in its description, maybe it was rebranded due to its success? From what I read £20 can last a year, depending on how many updates. Mine arrives today but the SIM most probably tomorrow, so ill hook it up & feedback.
  7. I'll sleep better knowing that cheers mate. Ref tracker, a chap on the triumph forum suggested this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078KTKQ79/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_lG0yBbA688944 Bought one so I'll feedback once it's fitted
  8. As my bike is stored in a shipping container in a secure yard some 3 miles away, I'm still struggling with paranoia:) I found this on the web & I wondered if anyone has one, if so what's your thoughts? https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/db1-lite-compact-gps-tracker-tracking-device
  9. I've been looking at security options when out playing/commuting & lugging a 16mm 2m 3kg chain with a padlock on a naked is not my idea of fun; although having my bike nicked isn't of course. However, it got me thinking, my storage space under the seat is limited, but I can easily fit an Abloy 362 underneath, then when stationary just attach it to the rear sprocket, make sense? A lot stronger, safer than an oxford disc lock etc & simple to attach, remove. Any thoughts on why this is a bad idea?
  10. F**K IT x10000000000+1 Seen a really nice bike today just above budget, took the reg chckd insurance £400*!*!*!*!*!* fully comp with £600 excess!!! 41 with 5 years no claims history, OK I wrote my car off last October, totally my fault but still 5 years no claims!
  11. Happpytty. Birrtttthhhddaaayyy....!!!
  12. +1 Been there & it takes emmense strength to get your shit together & sort your life out before its over. Depends what sort of person you are & how you take direction, do you want a cuddle & a there there now now or do you want a FFS sort your shit out you sack of shit? For me, meds, counselling all that didn't work, I just saw light at the end of the tunnel by figuring out what was the root cause of my battle & sorted it, if it couldn't be sorted I learned to say fuk it & moved on. It's hard work but so is suicide.
