I also have a cheap sim card that pings me an SMS every 30 seconds if it moves out of a designated area, & my bike is stored in a shipping container with 2 abloy locks - #paranoia However whilst i am out on the road, due diligence is the key, & not being further than earshot/eyesight from your bike. And would i stop a thief/thieves? Depends on how many, and what they are carrying.

I've been looking at security options when out playing/commuting & lugging a 16mm 2m 3kg chain with a padlock on a naked is not my idea of fun; although having my bike nicked isn't of course. However, it got me thinking, my storage space under the seat is limited, but I can easily fit an Abloy 362 underneath, then when stationary just attach it to the rear sprocket, make sense? A lot stronger, safer than an oxford disc lock etc & simple to attach, remove. Any thoughts on why this is a bad idea?

+1 Been there & it takes emmense strength to get your shit together & sort your life out before its over. Depends what sort of person you are & how you take direction, do you want a cuddle & a there there now now or do you want a FFS sort your shit out you sack of shit? For me, meds, counselling all that didn't work, I just saw light at the end of the tunnel by figuring out what was the root cause of my battle & sorted it, if it couldn't be sorted I learned to say fuk it & moved on. It's hard work but so is suicide.
