  2. Hi, when push comes to shove this comes out http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vessel-Impact ... 338a355004 Had one for years it has a 1/2 drive got me out of some really tight threads

  4. It all been said about engines, but never forget that the rest of the bike needs to be bedded in also. Tyres need to be scrubbed, brake pads, suspension and shocks linkages all need time to bed themselves in and loosen up. Agree engineering processes have come on leaps and bounds over the years, so has oil and lub technology. l've was told that if you run a motor in on fully synthetic oil it will never fully loosen up. I can remember that Kawasaki engines used to be notorious years ago for glazing there bores due to being used to lightly whilst running in. Me l've always just ridden the bike normally shifting up early and keep the revs way below the red line until after the first service. And never lost an engine in almost 40 yrs of riding
  5. Just had a mother of down pours here in Nott's. Thunder, lightning, hails stones the works, you would not want to be out on the bike in that!

  12. Hi definitely in need of serious chain and sprocket maintenance or maybe even replacements. Sort it quick mate before a major drama breaks out. Plenty of info on you tube to help you out. You really don't want to know the consequences of a chain breaking whilst your out riding. Stay safe

  14. At some point on this planet we were all stupid, then someone learnt something and passed it on :3some:
  15. Good news all part of the learning curve mate. So is hanging onto the back of an RSV lol
  16. think you need one of these Mate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/22129203 ... =95&ff19=0 Use it as part of your tool kit, l would not recommend leaving it on. As for pressures look up both metric and psi pressures for you bike and make a note
  17. Replied
  18. That would be hard to tell, l think your bike is fuel injected. So with lambda sensors and all the rest of the electronics' that needed to make the thing run. I would start by just checking that your throttle cable is adjusted properly and not to tight.
  19. Problem of overheating alternator caused more than likely to a high resistive joint - joints between alternator and battery. The voltage regulator is sensing low voltage at your battery due to the corroded connection, so it then compensates and produces excessive power from the alternator making it run hot. Same rule applies if your battery is duff don't ignore it, it could end up trashing your charging system. Good to hear you have found your problem
  20. Ferry booked all set for go!!! Harwich to the Hook return June 25th Wednesday night crossing Sunday 29th afternoon return. 22. How about this one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OXFORD-MOTORB ... 0411083042
  23. Hi Mate yes your on the right track, pull off the plug then remove the rubber shroud, you the will see a spring clip you squeeze the tails together to open the clip you can then remove the lamp. fit new lamp in reverse order taking care not to touch the glass of the lamp with you fingers grease from your fingers will induct heat and quickly blow the lamp. This link should be of help even though it not your bike "> Chris
