  1. Should be easy to get the tent pegs in then Stu!
  2. Your welcome, l can also recommend Co pilot live as dedicated mapping system. Just be careful using other map systems as they are constantly downloading data to update there maps using a hell of a lot of your data supply. Using the phone in flight mode the Co pilot still works along with all the system loaded into the phone.
  3. It's got to come out. Give it a good soaking in a freeing agent first and use a extraction tool if its already sheared off. I would not go for heating the nipple free, your liable to damage the piston seals. Freezing might work or take it in and have the bleed nipple spark eroded out.
  4. Here you go Mate http://www.ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Cases ... _Galaxy_S4 I run an S3 at the moment sat nav, music all on the go hooked up to our intercom, just be sure to order your mount and a dedicated power supply from them as well, GPS Systems rinse your phone battery.
  5. And how much faster do today's riders lap the same circuits? lol Mate, his lap record on the IOM stood for 8 yrs on a bike that many people thought was unrideable.
  6. Mike Hailwood for me one of the greatest riders ever never moved or hung off the bike. Master class here "> Defiantly no lemon.
  7. Hi Cat there should be a 8mm drain - vent bolt on the water pump on the lower left of the engine. Open this to drain the system and when refilling open this bolt again to vent the air out of the water pump, if you don't vent the pump you will end up with an air lock in the pump resulting in no circulation and the motor over heating. I found a video clip here it's not your bike but l think the pump is almost identical ">
  8. Hi Cat, take some pic's on your mobile phone or camera as you strip it out, you can then review if you should loose your way. Just to mention also disconnect the battery, l would remove the tank this will throw additional light onto the job and protect the your paintwork. make sure you have a good earth connection on the rad or you will have problems with the temperature sensor, On refilling the system make sure you open the vent screw on the water pump. Have fun!
  9. Tuff way to learn Mate! That's not going to click even if calibrated
  10. Don't panic mate you won't be the first or the last this happens to! Anybody can get themselves into a hole getting out of it requires a bit of thought and patients As already mentioned some pic's would useful plenty of experience willing hands on here to get you sorted. I will ask the question what size bolt is it and is your torque wrench calibrated and suitable for the job?

Once you start to carry spares you can guarantee that the part you need won't be in your kit. It's called sods law !!
  12. Hi, Italy is just awesome for bikes. don't know when your going but l would highly recommend tying the Italian Moto gp at Mugello Get the lads to pitch in and buy this book, it should be a good read and give you some great rides and info enjoy. http://www.mapsman.com/store/product.php?id=586

Here you go fella's, it seem that your particular model is not the only one prone to fuelling faults http://www.motorcycleinfo.co.uk/index.c ... eId=233223 http://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/news/ ... EPI-142725 Just be sure to get yours checked over and look out for recalls
  14. Last year l had 3 very well known insurance companies ask me the question was l going to be carrying a passenger on the Busa, and when l said yes they refused to quote me! I ask the question, "Well what do l have to do to meet the requirements to carry a passenger as l have never made a claim on a motorbike in almost 40yrs of riding?" They could not or would not answer me.

    bike died

Hi 4 of my mates on GS1200's set off on a trip through Europe the other year 3 carried a spare black box which l sure was related to the fuel system and all 3 failed. BMW in resent years have lost there long establish reputation for reliability. Then again l had a front wheel bearing failure on my Bimota, on stripping the wheel down l found that the Altera wheels were fitted with Chinese bearings Great!!
  16. Good right up there Mate. l'll second the Busa performance do's all it say's on the tin and more! It's not a bike that's easy to flicked about, but it's extremely rewarding to ride, gives you a grin factor every time.
  17. No mate, the cable outer sheath if yours is cable operated will be anchored to the drum, the inner cable will pull the lever towards it thus applying the brake, there's enough slack in the cable to allow for the wheel to move back and forward without need to adjust the brake.
  18. Has anyone landed one of these yet?
  19. Hi, adjusting the chain will make no difference to the rear brake set up. You might want to check that you are not subconsciously riding with your foot covering the rear brake pedal.
  20. Ok, an interesting read here Cat that you might want your guy's to look into, there's some test at the bottom of the read that they might want to carry out. I always prefer prevention than cure. Hope your soon sorted. http://www.aa1car.com/library/cooling_s ... rosion.htm
  21. Hi Cat, l would of thought a external water leak on the rad or hoses should be easy enough to find. Have you checked the rad overflow pipe to see if the stat is leaking? Also is the temperature gauge indicating that the engine running temperature is ok? from there l would check the engine oil to see if there's any contamination of water. It might be that the water pump or the a head gasket that is leaking. I'm personally not a big fan of rad weld or the likes, the oil and water galleries are so small on these engines that you could easily block up them making even more problems note, the water pump relies on the inhibitor in the coolant to lube the water pump. Fingers crossed it something simple like a tired leaking thermostat.
  22. Hi l would doubt very much that there's a battery issue here. If the motor is running the battery should not be discharging as the bike electric's are taken care of by the alternator. If you have checked over what's been mentioned take it out for a run, if possible get the motor onto a steep hill and do a plug chop this will tell if the fuel air ratio is correct. Do a Google search to help you understand plug chop further. If the plug is white the motor running lean which could mean a partly blocked main jet or an air leak on the carb, if black and wet - running rich it could be the plug -coil is breaking down or if you have been running cheap 2 stroke oil your motor my required a decoke. but l'm not completely sure the later is still required these days with modern 2 stroke oils.
  23. Cree lights are way to bright for a rear light, there's plenty of decent multi led light units out there and dual action Stop tail lamps also if you just looking for the lamp. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Mot ... 41721b9dc5 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-X-24-RED-LE ... 43a02a14d0
  24. Check the air filter there may also be a fuel filter in there to check over. Sounds to me like the motor being starved of one or the other
  25. Yeah I hope that is the cause. Low beam went last night on the front - have had the bike 6 months now, no idea when/if the front bulb got replaced before that. Considering the rear light goes all the time, and it's always just the tail light and the brake light keeps working, is it possible the low beam going now could indicate a wiring issue? Vibration is a lot easier! LED bulb shouldn't blow out from that, so it is a simple solution. My road home is a VERY bumpy country lane. Hi, you might want to check the voltage across the lights with the engine running there might be an excessive voltage issue there. Make sure the battery connections are tight and the battery is in good condition. A bad connection or a duff battery with upset the voltage regulator and cause all sorts of problems.
