People who start out on 1000cc superbikes
Chrissb6 replied to Geoff Wilson's topic in Motorbike Chat
You can easily trash yourself on a pushbike never mind a Motorbike. As already mentioned the throttle works both ways. Size doesn't matter, respect and common sense really do's -
This stuff has worked a treat on my bikes Sea Foam | Makers of Sea Foam Motor Treatment & other engine products (seafoamworks.com)

When are we going to start teaching trail braking?
Chrissb6 replied to Pbassred's topic in Motorbike Chat
If I've got to brake deep into a corner basically l know l know that I've screwed up. l barely used my back brake, l let the engine take care of the back wheel -
Karma your best friend

Tried it on a couple of my bikes both were not happy running on it. It's been clearly stated that E10 has a shelf life of a matter of weeks before it starts to degrade, l can vouch for that.

A Decade ago Mate? On September 1, 2021, E10 fuel became the default fuel in petrol stations across England, Scotland and Wales

Hamilton was 12 seconds up the road when the safety car came out, in F1 terms that's a country mile. A total farce to allow the lap cars to pass the safety car and not the race leader allowing Verstappen to get onto the back of Hamilton . That's me done with F1
-
Filled all of my bikes to the brim with E5 and added a fuel stabilizer E10 has no shelf life be warned.
-
Wouldn't part with the trailer it just means we can take more gear lol

All good, Sue has now passed her test and running a lowered Ducati Scrambler along with a bunch of like minded lady Bikers there loving it. I've added 2 more bikes to the stable a 1959 650 AJS and a Honda SP2 pic's to follow. This Covid lark has shackled us to some extent but w e try and live for the moment.

Yes l did Stu, for one reason or another l just could not log on, that's after trying numerous times to reset my password, l thought tonight l'd try again and hey presto I'm here.. Hope everyone keeping well? I'll now try and get myself back up to speed with the forum

After a long time out I've managed to find my way back. A lot of water has gone under the bridge during this time so there's some catching up to do.

Had to take my daughter in for an operation the other day. Hospital is not the place you want to visit at the moment believe you me!

Well nothing much else to do so I've pulled the cover off the Bimota and set about binging out of it's deep sleep. It been best part pf 10 yrs since l rode it out on the roads, just before l went in for Cancer treatment. Having read on different forums the nightmares that can greet you whist doing this l was dreading to see what l might find. First job was to clean out the carbs luckily l put it to bed with 4 start fuel, the bowls were found to be as clean and the jets clean and free a major result. Obviously now in need of a new battery, a complete fluid transfusion, air filter and engine tune up. Looks like were looking at least another 3 weeks min before we might be let loose on the roads again so no rush will keep you posted

They will just leave the wheel behind.

Not looking good Stu, my plans are well and truly scuppered for this year already The Manx GP is hanging on by a thread,I'm not holding out much hope for that either

Hi, the route from Amsterdam to Le Mans is not very interesting or scenic, it's motorway, very flat, busy and commercial. I see that your from the North East. Personally l would be inclined to take a run down the UK to the south coast and get a ferry across the channel to Caen or Le Havre it's then a nice easy ride to Le Mans.

Surprised you managed to get that far! A lot of folks have not been so lucky, if the chain had snapped or jumped off what's remaining of the sprockets you could of smashed the engine casing or worst still the chain wrapped itself around the rear wheel and thrown you down the road. Get if fixed properly, these bikes are not toys, they will hurt you if not looked after.
