  1. Never done an F1 race, seen a domo run of a jordan at Macau a good few years back, the sound was awesome!! The only place l would want to go see F1 is Spa and Monza. We did Monza the other year for the WSB, that circuit stands the hairs on the back of your kneck! Very very special. I went to Spa in the 70s and saw the bikes go round there, Mr Sheene lap that place at 137mph old circuit! F1 round the modern circuit will lap at 146mph 80% full throttle for the lap! Should be some noise
  2. The next few weeks are going to awesome. Bank holiday Monday Cadwell park BSB, the following Thursday we off to Spa for the F1. Then its back home for the Scarborough gold cup!! As said Buzzing
  3. Hi can any of you good ladies recommend a good 2 piece suite to fit my good lady? She is not very tall, we having a bit of a drama trying to find something that fits snug. Thanks
  4. If the bike sounds or feels different from what's normal check it out, or get it checked out. Never turn a blind eye it could end up costly and dangerous.
  5. Well we should be able to make it up there later saturday kids now sorted Run number 2 for the trailer
  6. Susie, we're just trying to sort the kids, hopefully we will make it for Saturday night .
  7. On that note, l suggest you get it tested to see how much is being drain from the battery whilst its parked up. It might not be the alarm system thats at fault.
  8. Is it a new bike? it may just be an old tired battery, an optimate charger is the way to go if you are not useing the bike regulary. Would not take the alarm off, sods law states "you wish you had'nt" If you know how, connect an amp meter inline with the battery an check how much drain the alarm is on the battery. Hope this helps?! Enjoy your new bike
  9. Hi Stu, what the parking like, are the bikes going into the field or on hard standing? Just a little concerned as you say its a field and on a hill!
  10. Just opened this one up Is it fully booked ? Or can l just roll up and pay on the day night ? I would be up for saturday night
  11. More likely something else than carbon. If you can, have a look at the plugs and see if the colour is ok, then l would suggest looking for an air leak exhaust side of the motor.
  12. Somebody has flogged that plug bolt up way to tight, or l'm just wondering if some numpty has used threadlock ?! Some heat on the bolt might just help. As already said, make sure you get a new plug and washer before you take this one out, this one's now shot!!
  13. Hi, an R6 is one hot bike to jump on if you have little experiance of modern bikes. Riding postion is radicle and focused! Engine is very peaky very high reving! You might want to step in a little shallower. As for the bike in question check the brakes and drive chain because if it been as suggest used as a track bike, these are parts that have been hard worked also check the frame for sign's of crash damage. don't jump in on the first thing you see, the market is awash with good second hand bikes. Also get an insurance quote on the bike your thinking of buying first, you might get a shock and be stuck with a bike that you cannot aford to insure. Best of luck on you buy
  14. Others have not been so lucky. Bikes have crashed, i've see engines smashed and also heard of rider being badly injured through broken chains wrapping round there leg. Don't fix it with another link get it sorted. He owt to count himself really lucky.
  15. If you new to DIY bike maintenance l think there are a must, as for small bolts being more critical? Well l beg to differ, under or over tightening of any nuts and bolts will lead to something coming loose or being stripped. After gaining some experience agree you will get a feel of how tight fixings should be.
  16. Agree with Stu completly, but l would be more concerned that you don't burn out your wireing or alternator. 3 x 55w is way to much power to draw off a bike electrics
  17. It by far the best way, give you an insight and understanding as to how the bike works.
  18. Get yourself a workshop manual mate and have a good read up. Bike maintenance is not a guessing game. You need to be so careful that things are done right from a safty point of view and well as looking after your investment.
  19. Avons for me, predictable grip with good milage.

    optimate

My bikes are plugged in all of the time have been for years. Just make sure now and again to check the water levels if its a wet battery, gel batterys should not be a problem.
  21. How about this for a piece of touring kit should you be into camping. I've got a full Givi system on my bike, but to ride 2 up with a complete camping kit is just a bit too much. We having to skimp the luxuries of air beds and the like. It’s not cheap, though l think it could be a sound investment and make a touring – camping on a bike 2 up a pleasure http://www.mono-trail.co.uk/

    Wheel Bearings

For what they cost, replace with new ones. Take the old ones to a bearing stockest and fit with a quality brand. Dam site cheaper and better than origanals. Can you believe that my Bimota came fitted with shite Chinese bearings, this on a Italian bike with wheels that are well over a grand a set !
  23. Hi, done correctly heat shrink is completely water proof, we use it down hole on drilling rigs under very high pressure. amalgamating tape is also very good just stretch and wrap once in place just finish off with some normal PVC tape to stop it unwrapping
  24. Hi, Should be able to get a key cut if its off the same suite as the ignition or seat-helmet lock. The barrel - key number should be stamped on the helmet lock, numerous lock smiths hold blanks for the kawasaki If you smash or drill it out, your then going to need a complete replacement. http://www.keysinthepost.com/actinic/KawasakiKeys.html
  25. Link broken between loom and light fitting check connections, possible loose connection in the back of the light fitting or connection to the loom.
