  2. Congratulations, and remember every car driver is out to kill you.
  3. Take the calipers off, pads out and have a look at the condition of the pistons and seals. It might not be nessesary to strip the calipers but i would at least pump the pistons out (not all the way) and see if they are seized. Then polish them up and grease them, then push them back in. If you do this right they will be free moving again and both move out at the same time. Then bleed the system untill you have replaced al the fluid with new dot 4. If you get stuck post here and we'll help. get the manual here
  4. I will say Mod 2 can be a real pita if you get a bad instructor, ive heard some horror stories posted on a few of the forums im on.
  5. I picked mod 2, just because its the most expensive part and it was the part i was the most nervous for. Apart from the nerves i found the whole experience easy.
  6. Great news, hope it wasn't to pricey.
  7. Hi guys, anyone riding out round matlock tomorrow. I'm gonna be geting there around 11am if any of ya fancy meeting up for a ride out. Never been before so dont rely on me for directions lol
  8. I could do with losing 4kg read fat bas***d, wanna pop round and give us a kiss lol.
  9. The link is 3 years old, the site probably died.
  10. That sucks dude, wouldnt it have been cheaper to get a 2nd hand engine?
  11. The worst weather ive rode in was freezing fog, i had to ride with my visor open as i was covered head to foot in a layer of ice. I have good gear tho so apart from not being able to see i was fine. Frozen roads isnt very plesent to ride on but as long as you're careful it isnt that bad. Rain isnt a problem either and i dont mind wind as long as its under 50 mph.

    Chain Noise

Should of had the sprockets done at the same time. Check the joining link was fitted properly ie not loose or siezed tight.
  13. buy a stand?
  14. I have an ABBA, its dead easy to use on your own and very stable. It does take longer than using a paddock tho.
  15. To those who go on the saturday can you post here if it isnt worth going. Thanks.
  16. You'd pay me to put my clothes back on
  17. I vote for a bikini bike wash, ladies leave your details below thanks
  18. To loose is better than to tight as it could damage the transmission. My 2002 cbr chain should be between 25-35mm which makes it just to tight to touch the swingarm if you push up on it when on the side stand with no one on it.
  19. I was really annoyed i missed this years rally as i was only able to come on the Saturday and it was heavy rain and thunderstorms most of the day so didn't make the journey. I would be up for another meet tho and as i live in the midlands any locations is fine with me.
  20. use washing up liquid in water to find where the leak is. If its in the center portion of the tyre it can be repaired. You can then either use one of the do it yourself temporary fixes which some people use till the tyre needs replacing (never if its the front tyre) or you can then ride to a garage and get it properly repaired. Or take the wheel off and take it to a garage. I wouldnt advise riding as it is especially if its the front wheel.
  21. Did you set the right gap on the new plug? I dont think the battery is the problem.I think its either the plug, the lead or cap, the coil, a faulty kill switch or the cdi.
  22. It wouldnt turn over if it was the kill switch. did you service the ht lead and boot like i said in the earlier post?
  23. I have over 200GB of music on my pc thats usually on random. also have about 10GB on my phone that gets changed every now and then. So i listen to just about everything apart from garage, hip hop and rap.
  24. that looks like a terrible idea, just hook it onto the subframe somewhere.
  25. just seen your new post. If its wet it means your flooding it. could be a stuck float in your carb. give the carb a few taps with a screwdriver. turn the bike over a few times without the plug in to get rid of the excess fuel. then try again.
