  1. Nice What a gent.
  2. We did similar, albeit with plasterboard and a skim coat. Have a nice mix of dot n dab, studwork with insulation and sticky foam holding the boards on the walls.
  3. 20mph zones are everywhere in Wirral. They're a pain. I think the threshold for prosecution will be 10% +2 =24mph. If the speedo reads 26mph, you'll probably be fine, even if you miss the camera.
  4. I don't have broadcast TV, and don't miss it. Do they still use these words in the TV ceremony? ... must not be undertaken carelessly, lightly, or selfishly, but reverently, responsibly, and after serious thought...
  5. @Fozzie Why not find out exactly what you're likely to be up against? Decide what you want to pay for the place in good condition, get them hooked with an offer, then find out what the repairs will stand you. Use that to negotiate a reduced price.
  6. I did mine on an SV650 (I did have some prior biking experience). The school was happy to push us a bit to find out what we could do. Of course it's easier to get people through the day on an automatic, but in the long run of less benefit to the rider. I'd be looking elsewhere too.

    Hi

    Hi
  8. Hi, Love a Blackbird, me. Welcome in.
  9. Agree that a lot of it comes down to attitude or general culture. I don't remember exactly where I heard it, but there was a guy who went out to his local traffic light once a year every year to count the number of red light jumpers. Year on year the numbers crept up; a very measurable indicator of driver selfishness.
  10. Def. warm the oil.
  11. Last minute or what! Awesome news
  12. Good stuff Chris. Don't worry about the stalling - I did it just out of the test centre on my MOD2 and still passed,
  13. @ChrisBiggsUK Is there an alarm in this setup? You can get cheap battery powered motion alarms from Amazon that just sit under the seat and are key fob activated. (Search KS-SF22R or similar). I have one, it's not waterproof but it does work.
  14. Awesome idea. At least if they nicked the bike you'd have a place to start the rebuild from.

After you’ve completed CBT, you can ride a: moped if you’re 16 or over motorcycle up to 125cc and with a power output of up to 11kW if you’re 17 or over You must use L plates (L or D plates in Wales). You must pass your full moped or motorcycle test within 2 years, or you have to either take CBT again or stop riding. https://www.gov.uk/motorcycle-cbt

    Hi Everyone

    Hi Joe
  17. Sportsbike are doing an Oxford Mondail jacket and trousers for £350 at the moment. Laminated membrane, waterproof but their own version of goretex (Dry2Dry laminated waterproof).
  18. Not sure, but did you put in the day and time of travel into Google maps? It's quite a useful feature and usually pretty accurate.
  19. Not so much a wall of death as a crater of death. Where do I sign up?
  20. Better than not rinsing them out at all, I should imagine! It was fine. The thing was laid on its side so the flame came out of the valve end, angle grinder operative didn't even singe his eyebrows. Eggs and omelettes.
  21. I used to have one of those in a caravan I lived in for a while. I remember making it. We removed the valve and washed it out, thinking that would get rid of any residual gas. When the angle grinder cut through the steel a fireball came out of the end and burned for 15 mins. Have a picture somewhere; it was before the days of digital photography.
  22. Funny, but obviously staged.
