  1. It lives!
  2. I've done it by uploading to YouTube and linking.
  3. The Explorer is edging towards 66k, bought it a couple of years ago at 42.5k. It has had its share of issues, but it gets plenty of use. The next job is going to be trying to disassemble the rear diff to replace an officially non-serviceable oil seal. On the plus side, insurance isn't so expensive. And it beats paying the pcp on a new bike if you're happy to do some of the work yourself. There's probably a sweet spot somewhere a bit lower mileage/age that I'll go for next time around.
  4. An hour's commute each way, twice a week, year round. Bike gets a hose down and dry before going back away.
  5. Edit: Not sure that link worked too well, but the general idea is that Potato > RainX
  6. Out with the Advanced Riding guys for an observed ride. Turns out there are these big red circles with numbers in them that you're supposed to take note of and adjust your speed accordingly. Who knew? Wales. What can you do? Actually saw a 19mph road sign, tried to find it on Google Street View , but their version is older, it says 29. (Entrance to Connah's Quay Power Station). Got home. Mrs Fiddlesticks had been left to show prospective buyers around the house. "We going out for a ride then?" Well, I couldn't say no, could I? Pub grub up in Southport. Back home in the rain. Bike is being a bit tricksy. The gear position indicator is bouncing around a bit, but at £540+VAT for a new sensor it might save to stay that way for now...
  7. Argh. Frustrating, but not the end of the world. Well done in advance for the pass in October
  8. All I'm trying to do is put a longer flex on it so I can enjoy toast in the bath
  9. The person who chose to put my toaster together with Triwing screws. What kind of psychopath does such a thing?
  10. Very exciting Congrats on the new bike - seems like a good choice.
  11. Happy birthday
  12. Hi Chris, welcome to the forum. Pinlocks come in different shapes and sizes, but I had a quick look and couldn't find Zorax mentioned anywhere, including the Pinlock website. Maybe give their after sales guys an email to find out which one to use. [email protected]
  13. Happy birthday
  14. This weekend there's no advanced bike course, but we do have a viewing on Fiddlesticks towers. Other than that, I'll try and carve out an hour to replace the clutch fluid on the Explorer. Maybe even pull the suspension linkage apart and re-grease it all. Then over to East Yorks (Humberside, in old money) for a meal in memory of her mum who passed this time last year.
  15. Eufy from Amazon here. Has the option to have cloud recording (for a fee) but can also store recordings locally for those who are not into life by subscription. We have a camera keeping an eye on the conservatory, and a doorbell/camera for the front. It can ping your phone when it spots a person / pet / movement. Different modes for "home" and "away" although geo-fencing doesn't seem to work too well. The doorbell lasts a few months and is charged via usb (or you can hard wire it). Update: on clip length..
  16. Already have a backup pair for similar reasons
  17. Usually head for the nearest garage to foam and jetwash it.
  18. Reminds me of the old insurance claim: “Going to work at 7am this morning I drove out of my drive straight into a bus. The bus was 5 minutes early..”
  19. Rode to work in the rain. Some guy in a digger unearthed what looked like a WW2 bomb. Rode home in the rain. Obligatory snow foam and dry. Turns out it was all a false alarm. Ah well, at least I had the satisfaction of being able to filter past a hundred cars all trying to evacuate the site.
  20. Hi. Welcome in
  21. There's always the classic "how low can you go on it?" - "About 3mph, anything slower and you'll topple over"
  22. Yep - I got a few "what's the very best price you'll go to" - type messages. Best for who? I've no upper limit really.
  23. Congratulations! Can you clarify though? The [Dogs] Bollocks - The Best Oh Bollocks - Messed Up Bollocking - Telling Off It's Bollocks - It's Rubbish Bollocks - Testicles Bollocks to it - I Give Up Stark Bollock Naked - Nude Got Sum Bollocks - Brave Billy Big Bollocks - Thinks he's It Talking Bollocks - Telling Lies
  24. Yes. Going across the Holy Island Causeway with the tide mostly out. We couldn't quite see, but toes got a bit wet. Turned out to be a corroded plug buried deep under the tank.
  25. Shocking behaviour. Seriously some people have no clue.
