  1. Hi Josh, nice bit of coastline you have to play with there. Good choice of 125
  2. Had to Google that one. Nice looking bikes. Seems like a few different things. The horn might just be in need of replacing (less than a tenner - they do tend to go) if you have a multimeter you can test the circuit. High beam - fuse/bulb? Any more detail on how the engine is cutting out? Saw this in Reddit, but not sure if it sounds like the same issue.
  3. If I can offer any reassurance it's to say that it all very quickly becomes second nature. Give it time, and try to take the pressure off. A CBT is not the only way to start. Bike schools will offer one-on-one taster sessions - just for a couple of hours. There's no pressure to "pass" anything, just the fun of starting from scratch and building up the skills.
  4. Completely get it Ian. Triumph dropped the ball badly with this one. My 2013 Explorer will be pushing 70k miles by the time I want to upgrade it next year (it also stalls if you dump the clutch in second under heavy braking - which I've learned not to do). The newer model, maybe 2-3 years old, out of the question. Brand new? Too pricey. GS? Probably. The Thunderbird is lovely though. I keep vacillating between selling it to raise some funds and fitting straight through pipes in place of the cat to give it a deeper rumble and really committing to using it a bit more.
  5. Hi, welcome in.
  6. Speaking of which, got a parking ticket on the bike on Sunday... For parking outside the marked bays as directed by the Council's own website. Appeal pending.
  7. I hope he stopped!
  8. We found the same in Cyprus. Proper honest little workhorse and fun to ride.
  9. Hi
  10. Stopped past Triumph Chester this afternoon. All locked up, just an A4 note pinned to the gate saying "closed today - a further announcement will be forthcoming".
  11. Hi That looks a looks like a lot of fun. (Mrs. Fiddlesticks might argue a lot of expense). Welcome in.
  12. Wot 'e sed Bit more time in the saddle, third time the charm.
  13. I've done the Wirral one - well worth it, and the guys running it were great.
  14. Yes, but you have to check the screws every now and again
  15. Mrs. Fiddlesticks has a heated gillet, heated socks and laminated winter textiles. I tend to go with a down jacket under cheapish drop-liner textiles (£350 for the suit) which also have a thermal liner. For rain I've got an outer shell. Bit of a faff tbh, but it stops the textiles wetting out. Add more layers as required. I'll prob. upgrade the suit at some point. Also have a heated seat and grips, helmet and glove liners and waterproof thermal neck buff.
  16. To be fair, if you've never driven or ridden before I think that's very good going. There's a lot to pick up starting from scratch, and the more time you can spend with an instructor the better. Have fun next weekend.
  17. Send ChatGpt the bill
  18. First things would be some gear - helmet, gloves, jacket, trousers, boots. Direct Access will take a while with lessons and four separate assessments (CBT, Theory, Mod1, Mod2) so there's time to window shop. Have fun, it's a great way of getting around.
  19. We hired one in Cyprus earlier this year. Enjoyed it.
  20. Just twigged that's Triumph Chester gone. Explains why I've not had a reply to my latest service query. Sad news, they're a nice bunch of lads.
  21. It just makes stuff up.
