  1. If they fit a faired bike, I'd be surprised if they didn't fit a naked. Make sure they use 10 mm bolts and not 8mm.
  2. I wouldn't use copper in your exhaust, in can produce poisonous fumes. Use stainless, perforated tube wrapped with fibreglass.
  3. You don't wanna see Geoff s face.
  4. GSX1100ET
  5. Yes mate, and the 7th.
  6. Didn't bother to reply to my offer, so don't think I'll bother then.
  7. It would cost about £90 for the weekend for you to take your bike up the strip too?
  8. You'd be very welcome at WZ mate. We don't start engines until 1200, but come early for a chat and a brew.
  9. It's at Weston Zoyland airfield, near Bridgewater mate. Arrive Saturday morning, pay £90 for weekend and do as many runs as we want. I'll be sorting my airshifter and two step. May be a 10.9 in there.
  10. What a fantastic day at Brighton Speed Trials. Travelled there with two great mates, Will Kemp and Sean Denyer. Met my two daughters and their lovely boyfriends. Met old mates, John Goodman and Dave Ennis, Knight Errant, Neil Neill Curtis and new friends, Kyle, Anna and Manfred from. Austria. Good to meet Geoffrz and his mate. The bike ran great, running 11.87@117, 11.58 @ 124 and a weird 12.1@127mph. The crowd, Marshalls and officials were brilliant, especially Juan Manzano. Can't wait until next year.
  11. I'll try, thanks Ian.
  12. Be good to see you again mate.
  13. I'll be racing my black GSX1100ET on Saturday. Come and say hello. This bike next to a red transit minibus.
  14. If it is the sump plug, try undoing the silencer support bracket bolt and gently turn the whole exhaust away from the sump bolt. May not have to undo the header bolts/nuts.
  15. That bolt looks daft long to be a sump plug, but it is Chinese.
  16. Think long and hard before trying to undo the: exhaust bolts, nuts at the head. If you shear one , youre in a world of pain.
  17. Try pulling the chain straight back off the rear sprocket at the 3 O clock position. All signs are that it's knackered. Buy a new chain AND SPROCKETS. DID X, Ring gold is the best and will last the longest.
  18. If you can get down to Hastings I'll show you all you need to know.
  19. The sprockets could be misaligned or the chain is knackered. How many miles has the chain done?
  20. Get the oil hot before you undo the drain plug.
  21. Buy a rear paddock stand and if you have the facility on your bike paddock stand bobbins and hooks. You can lift the front end using a rear stand and a jack.
  22. When the rust comes through the zinc plating, I rotary wire brush them until bright and shiny, screw them back in, degrease em and paint with nail varnish clear coat brush or use a coloured nail varnish that makes em look like anodised aluminium.
  23. Thanks guys. I've ordered a kit from VWP.
  24. Buy a Lithium Iron jump starter. About £40 from Lidl, when in stock. Loads on eBay.
