  1. In the meantime , just squeeze a circle of any type of silicone around the lower seal. It won't damage the engine.
  2. Yeah, but a new O ring would help as well.
  3. The o ring at the top is supposed to keep moisture out of the spark plug tunnel. If you don't seal it from the atmosphere, one day the spark plug will have rotted and it won't come out.
  4. Yes it could, but a solar panel could be cheaper.
  5. Big fuss about nothing. Bolt it up, tack weld the cracks, remove bolts, TIG weld properly. Unless there's another reason for cracking?
  6. I wouldn't pick up a new bike at this time of year and I certainly wouldn't learn to ride it on the wet, greasy roads. I'd put at the top of your priorities substantial crash protection ie engine bars and something at the rear. This might sound a bit negative , but when you drop it, you will be gutted at the extent of the damage and the cost. Engine bars will save you a lot of cash and heartache. Ideally coat it in ACF50 , fill the tank with fuel, fit an optimate and store it until the spring.
  7. Hahahaha hahahaha hahahaha
  8. Message number for a chat?
  9. As much as you can fit on, as thick as you can fit, as long as perforated section of baffle.
  10. Never seen one for sale. Could buy eBay one and wrap it in fluffy fibreglass. Search on exhaust packing.i made mine out of perforated tube off eBay.
  11. They'll make it slightly quieter, but you need fibreglass packed one to make real difference. I used to make my own.
  12. Loads of great roads in the Ardennes. We stayed with AE Aventures near Spa. Great English couple, great value and instructs at Spa and Nurburgring.
  13. I'm in hastings. Some great rides down here.
  14. If the intake manifold is cracked, you'll be sucking air in and bypassing the fuel system. The engine should be running weak and may overheat.
  15. Weekend in North Wales or Yorkshire Dale's. Week I Normandy or Ardennes.
  16. Stupid in winter, use the car when it's icy, salty and foggy.

Went back to hospital this morning for stitches removal. 14 on left, 2 on right. Stung a bit but nurses very distracting. New dressings and plaster for two weeks. Xrays OK. 1 plate and 6 screws.
  18. Mine feels like an empty plastic box
  19. A mate put one on an old Suzuki gsx1100efe with standard charging system. It burst into flames. Check what max charging current and voltage should be, monitor it and make battery easy to remove.
  20. What he said. No traction, nothing to control.
  21. Wrist still very painful and itchy thanks. Only having one hand stops me doing a lot of things, pulling socks and trousers on and washing up. Luckily I'm getting a lot of help from my friends and daughter.
  22. Thanks Hoggs, very helpful.
  23. So nobody cares about birthdays anymore?
  24. Buy the one for your bike and you won't have to mess about with the wiring.
