  1. Thanks guys.
  2. Urgently need a good quality electrical connectors kit and a better than average crimping tool. You guys got any links?
  3. I used to make link pipes and adapters. I'll message my number for a chat. Can you accurately measure the I/D of the Akra and the O/D of the link pipe?
  4. The chain shouldn't be too tight or too slack. If it's noisy, it's slack. Tighten it, just, until it goes quiet. If it gets louder, tighten it just a little bit. It's not rocket science.
  5. Talk to Ivan. He charges enough. Bike should run properly.

    Rattle on engine

I still don't get the loose valve bit?
  7. None of my bikes have ever dripped fuel because of the weather. That's 42 years worth.
  8. Most oil leaks get worse when the engine and oil are hot.
  9. Try soaking plates in brake cleaner a few times. Don't rough em up.
  10. I wouldn't recommend an impact driver on exhaust studs. They will just snap off.
  11. I've got loads of 20v stuff from Lidl. You can buy spare batteries and an impact driver. Works OK on my 36mm wheel nut.
  12. You need to find out exactly where the oil is coming from , before you think of stripping it.
  13. Another vote for red rubber grease.
  14. Get the engine stinking hot first, then pour iced water carefully on the nuts. Bang the nut and stud into the head, then carefully try to remove.
  15. Why would you replace everything, when there's only something wrong with part of it. Why not buy another bike instead?
  16. At the moment yes. I'm modding it to fit extra plates and fitting a billet backplate with stiffer springs.Just for drag racing.
  17. He does like giving money away.
  18. Not normally a problem on GSXs. The back of the basket has 6 cush springs. They eventually sag and rattle. I'll post another piccy of the back of the basket.
  19. Here's the last five pix, hopefully.
  20. I'll try. Can't get em in correct order.
  21. Yeah there's loads but I'm struggling to post them all in order of stripping.
  22. Clutch cover If anybody is thinking of stripping their wet clutch, here what my GSX1100 ET one looks like. Most are similar.
  23. You don't necessarily need the closing cable, as long as the spring shuts the throttle quickly WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AT FULL SPEED. I've binned closing cables on loads of bikes, but mainly four cylinders with extra springs on the throttle bar that operates all four throttles.
