    GSX-R 750 L5 tyres

Sorry not sure if it is only GSX Riders you wanted to hear from I got the Road 5 some months back for my Versys 650 I have prob put about 3 - 4 K kms on them pretty much all country roads very little motorway and I feel that they have squared of quite a bit Even the front which is noticably harder to turn now ( pressure is 36 psi front and 42 Rear ) and you can see and feel the squaring off on it Did not have any issues with handling or loss of grip up to now but starting to have some doubts how much longer i will get out of them
  13. Preferred Liga baby biscuits myself tbh
  14. Finally back below the €2 Euro mark here in Ireland most filling stations @ €1.99.9 to be exact but going in the right direction That would be approx £1.70 Be interesting to see what happens in middle of August when the Gov temporary reduction of 20C in excise duty stops Will the Gov put the 20C cent back on
  15. I have these for summer riding nice and light https://www.google.com/search?q=Forma+Genesis+Black&client=opera&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&vet=1&fir=wSwAY0YpovsknM%2CBxDKlNaB9wXtAM%2C_%3BXB_T-w4H7Z9tfM%2CqqPCnuxFCAqNcM%2C_%3BRs2Ic_SnQ7h4oM%2CSxghOUHdY1FJrM%2C_%3BqGyoTUJ4S3cILM%2C20Lsi_LKrZBpkM%2C_%3B8-ELKGp7nrANAM%2CjCPXar2aqUNOkM%2C_%3B4JGJfELOUHx6XM%2CumrrpGO_RCp3WM%2C_%3Br7xKKRQJOrTKKM%2CumrrpGO_RCp3WM%2C_%3B_YTULAEBrX-E1M%2CumrrpGO_RCp3WM%2C_&usg=AI4_-kSso5jtzUK_M3qgWfMQqr82TX4qNw&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjjmtCF0or5AhVPiFwKHS3wCdEQ9QF6BAgIEAE
  16. Sounds Great Well done
  17. Pretty much all the filling stations here in Ireland still using E5 as standard €2.09 ( £1.77 ) The Government here Reduced the tax on petrol a few weeks ago by 20c on petrol & 15c on diesel and the filling stations increased their prices by the same ammount the night before it was to come in Ripoff Ireland https://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/cut-to-excise-duty-immediately-eroded-as-fuels-costs-continue-to-increase-1271818.html This temporary tax cut ends in August i imagine the price will go back up overnight by the same 20c may put even more people off the road Unfortunately outside of Dublin public transport is absolutley dire so you have no choice other than to use your Car / Bike I still try to get out every day to blow off the cobwebs ( speaking of which I just had to get the wife to remove a huge spider from the bathroom ) eek
  18. Yeah it can be a bit of a chore to get all the gear on to get out there but once you are out it is a real stress breaker I am lucky that I live close to the Wicklow mountains and within a few mins i can be somewhere like this I would say keep at it and make an effort to get out n about on the bike and stop off for a coffee somewhere scenic there is always someone that will stop and talk to you about your bike
  19. I went back after 30 years On a Kawasaki Versys 650
  20. Small World In 1999 I was also zipping round the Wicklow area installing the MMDS microwave TV service for a crowd called Cable& Utilitys Probably passed each other many times Im only about 5 min's from the Elephant & Castle ( McDaniels ) and brittas bay beach
  21. I am more in to just heading off somewhere for a spin No plan just out Not too bothered about the price of petrol at the mo seems to be hanging around €2.15 L although you do notice it filling up When I got the Versys 2 years ago it cost about €16 to fill & when i filled up on Saturday it was €30 I usually get about 380 KM to a tank full Working from home still after 2 years I get out at lunchtime for a spin And get out almost every day weather permitting I guess I am lucky to be living close to the Wicklow mountains and can just throw some bars crisps and a flask of coffee in to the topbox and within a few mins im in the sticks

    Kit

+1 for the overjacket & rain warrior trousers if it is really chucking it down I have some Richa waterproof gloves that I keep spraying on waterproofer and have not got wet yet For normal rain I have an alpinestars drystar jacket + a New oxford mondial jacket and Richa Textile trousers
  23. I have the oxford one with the gas cannister and the glue sticks Have had to use it once before and it worked My tyres are tubless so not sure if the kit would work on a tube type tyre ( Prob not ) The little gas cannisters will only get to about 20 psi just enough to get to a garage to pump it up So If Im going on a long trip I put the 12v air pump in to the topbox and I have the SAE connector under the seat This one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rocky-Creek-Designs-4393-MotoPressor/dp/B016MA2KHC/ref=asc_df_B016MA2KHC/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310513207083&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6107691802253886111&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1007906&hvtargid=pla-564484985756&psc=1 No pressure gauge on them though so you need to disconnect to check pressure But very small
