  1. Yay that's brilliant news Mandy , was gutted we might have to miss it
  2. I think my worst was the time I dropped a 50cc on my leg ( complete with 18 stone rugby player on the back ) whilst wearing little more than shorts and a bikini.... rode it to work the next day, and the only giveaway was the badly road rashed knee.... I was halfway through serving breakfastbefore my mum noticed, said' oh ffs you've fallen off again havnt you ?'....promptly shipped off to hospital only to find id done a decent job of shattering my ankle....... lesson finally learned ( was my 2nd off in 2 weeks)... and im ATGATT always now... if for no other reason than its really bloody annoying when you want to ride to work, but cant find anywhere to carry the crutches
  3. not a million miles away.. and astounded that a yorkshireman wouldn't check Yorkshire MAGs calendar before picking a date
  4. you will have to just come to the rally! nothing is more important than the rally!! yeah except its another bloody rally it clashes with , and we'd kinda promised to take braxs uncle to both guess we'll just have to make a choice and do one less rally next year
  5. just a major dilemma as it definitely clashes with something else
  6. hang it in the bathroom so it gets steamed everytime someone runs a bath, and wear it lots inbetween
  7. one other question, if you've been riding bikes for 13 years a. don't you already have any gear, and b. why are you asking rookie advice like you've never done this before ??
  8. just because you can do something doesn't always mean you should...my cbt centre actually suggested turning up in trainers ( so you can feel the controls), I nevertheless ignored their advice and turned up in boots and leathers, felt like they were taking the piss slightly, expecting me to be crap, and the other 2 taking cbt that day were in tracky bottoms and trainers....suffice it to say I had a brilliant day, whilst the girl who dragged herself down the carpark with the twist and go while wearing said tracky bottoms went home rather sore and hopefully reconsidered her choice of gear for next time. you only have one pair of ankles, and even on the smallest bike can do yourself damage if things go wrong... my advice would be go in boots that cover the ankle at the very least
  9. Chiras birthday is 29th june , bringing her to the rally saves me the cost of a birthday cake or party
  10. Request accepted Al , I will repost the pics from other groups this morning
  11. Oh so many to choose from, but today's award definitely has to go to the nob in the grey car ( early 20,s wearing sunglasses in the fog and pissing rain ) , who despitee having overtaken him , and put my indicators on for a good five minutes while he refused to let me back in... Then managed to completely ignore me for a further few minutes whilst I was riding alongside his window with indicator still going , horn blaring , and arms waving ( in a seriously are you really pretending you can't see me manner ), he actually continued the death stare into the space in front of him for many minutes, I only got back into the lane eventually when uncle Derek slowed his car right down in front of the guy, then accelerated to make me a space . Needless to say once I'd got in, he disappeared backwards like his only gear was reverse ...... Tosser
  12. Neil, add me on fb , you should be able to see a lot of it from there, Catherine roberts ( cath , one of a kind roberts) profile pic at the moment is a very cute pic of Brax and maia
  13. Thanks so much to all who attended , and all who sent their thoughts for today, it was the hardest ride I've done in so so many ways, but I'm glad I did, was an awesome turnout for an awesome young man , bmw Dave, sorry I didn't get to say hi, it was all a bit emotional
  14. no worries rennie, we can have our own send off for him at the next rally, I think his mum was wanting us to take him on a ride to scatter the ashes at some point
  15. Thanks guys, tango feel free mate, trying to get as many there as possible, be good for his mum to see huge support from the biking community
  16. for anyone who knew him, or anyone who didn't but would like to honour him with one last ride. the funeral will take place on Tuesday the 15th December at 12 , at parkwood crematorium park road Elland HX5 9HZ we are trying to arrange a huge bike escort, and the meet up place will be Reeth Road Brighouse HD6 3HY.. road behind the shops on highfield RD, and bikes need to be facing Bedale avenue, to turn right when the procession goes past. leaving there around 11.45, so I would suggest arriving earlier. after the crematorium we are heading to Brighouse sports and social club Russel Way Bradford Road HD6 4LX if anyone wants any other details please pm me, and can anyone definitely coming on a bike let me know so we have a rough idea of numbers...hoping to give the lad the send off he deserves.... fancy dress and baffles out would be much appreciated, but not essential. Also , no floral tributes please, the family have requested donations only, which will be going to the british bikers relief foundation in Aarons memory.
