I did toy with the idea of going on the bike Stu........but it's a work meeting, so I'll get my fuel paid for going in the car........and it's 2 hours or so on the motorway, so if I took the bike and the scenic route it'd take a lot longer.......and I've got to be there by 10:30am!!

Saturday's forcast is looking good.............and I've got to go to Burgess Hill for a meeting!! Big f*ck it!!!

Nice one mate....... Some bikes had a lower fairing option available.......but as the bike is quite old you may be lucky to find one on eBay or the like.......doubt you'll get a new one, unless someone has a NOS one kicking about......

Yeah, it's like a tab washer......you need to bend the tabs down with a screwdriver or something before ubdoing the nuts..........haven't got them on my calipers, but got a tab washer on my front sprocket nut.......obviously it's just to stop them coming loose with vibration........but you may need to replace the tab washer thingy afterwards as the tabs can fracture and then drop off......

Southwold on the Suffolk coast is always worth a visit.....a quaint, old fashioned seaside place...... But have a look at the Tags for that region on the Challenge 100 for more ideas......but I think that Fro is right, the coast has some nice roads...... If you're looking a bit more West we're on the Cambs/Beds borders and know a few decentish roads round here.......depending on the timing we may be able to show you one or 2 of them......

If that's ok, then it could be a restricted tank breather that's causing a vacuum to form in the fuel tank.......try opening the filler when the bike cuts out and see if you can hear a vacuum being released. Could also be the ignition coil breaking down when it gets hot......see if you can get a replacement.....

Plug something else in to check the socket is still live........or, if it's a fused spur, check that it's not tripped a breaker in the consumer unit......

Unrestricted bike licence is group A and column 10 will have the date you passed the bike test......and column 12 will have no comments against it........at least that's on my licence.....

AM is moped.......as you passed your car test before 2001 you can ride a moped without L-plates........the A is provisional entitlement to ride a 125 with L-plates after completing a CBT.....

If you're handy with electrics you could rig it enough to run the engine......but without a wiring diagram I'd be pushed to say exactly what you'd need to do...... When you say ignitor do you mean ignition coil?......you'll need this to get a spark....and I think the gs550 had 2 coils......so you'd need both.
