  2. Riders of the Damned - Black Label Society
  3. Still Got the Blues - Gary Moore
  4. We did the show a few years on the bikes.......but I had a Trophy with a nice big fairing to hide behind and heated grips......no such luxuries on the Speedy...... But even so, the bikes won't be mothballed over winter......just be a bit more selective on the days we go out on them.....
  5. Long in the Tooth - Roadsaw
  6. We're heading there on the Friday.......going in the cage though......too old for this cold stuff......and may need space for goodies too...... No probs with cameras......loadsa bikes and stuff to take pics of.....
  7. They need to come and collect the bike and fix it.......if they start trying to fob you off mention Trading Standards....they have sold you a bike with warranty, so they have to honour that warranty!! When you took the bike out yesterday, did you charge the battery before you went out? Like Alex has mentioned, I'm starting to wonder if the Reg/Rec is stuffed....
  8. Inside Us All - Creed
  9. I posted some pics in another thread Neil....viewtopic.php?f=23&t=55023 I got some vid too.....but it doesn't really show how many bikes were there.....
  10. Bonniebird and myself joined the Ring of Red at South Mimms services. Great turnout and perfect weather for it. Quite a few people on bridges waving to the bikes as we went past. We stopped at Stansted services on the way back for a coffee......and quite a few people asked us what was going on, as they had seen loads of bikes with the riders wearing red shirts on the M25....and one guy even shook our hands when we explained what it was all about.... Great day out.....
  11. I take it that you push the lever forwards slightly before trying to adjust it? Have you got enough free play on the lever?
  12. No....it was a Tammy SRX Steve.....hence the scarcity of a replacement tank.....
  13. For those oop north, there's the Ring of Red around the M60...... https://www.facebook.com/events/2776534 ... /?refid=18
  14. Bump......anyone going? It's even a civilised start time this year......
  15. It's the rubbing strip on the top of the swing arm Steve......it's a common problem.....they do wear through on these bikes..... It's made worse if people reduce the front sprocket size too...... I think it's a bit of a fiddle, but it can be replaced without removing the swing arm..... Part #15 on this page.....£26 ish...... http://www.worldoftriumph.com/triumph_m ... 03=1692029
  16. Get it back to them and tell them to sort it out......I suspect a dead battery.....
  17. Hmm.....just watched that vid........could they have made it any more complicated to remove the clutch?..... Typical BMW though......when I used to have to work on the clutch on the R100 I had years back, it needed the whole rear end of the bike to be removed to get at it.... If the plates have stuck Ollie, you can put the bike in gear and pull the clutch in and rock the bike back and forwards.......or start it and pull the clutch and put it into gear.....just make sure you're covering the brake as it may want to take off.....
  18. Which side of the bike is the clutch Ollie?.........you can remove the clutch cover on many bikes without draining the oil as long as the bike is on the side stand........ Sounds like the clutch push rod isn't engaged in the mechanism on the clutch cover........or it's just that the plates have stuck together.......
  19. A Little More Time - Eric Gales
  20. Can you hold the gasket in place with a bit of liquid gasket Ollie?
  21. Hi Fozzie, i know its a long shot as this is an old post but i seen you were pretty close to me on the map and i'm in serious need of help with my '88 TZR if you could contact me somehow through TMBF it would be much appreciated. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the Newbies section and say hi to the guys...... You could try PM'ing Fozzie and see if he can help...
  22. Oooohhhhhh......it's got LED's on it.......must be good......
  23. Tango

    Heavy steering.

Some tyres are repairable......but you'd need to get it to a decent tyre place to see if it's possible.......
  24. Welcome to TMBF mate.......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the gang when you can..... TBH, I think I'd just redo the CBT and wait until you're 24 and do the full A license if you're not planning on doing the A2......
  25. Before the days of Pinlocks, we used to smear the inside of the visor with a bit of washingup liquid on a paper towel......worked ok ish........ The visor on my Bell lid rarely mists up......maybe because the breath guard is pretty good and the ventilation is also good........and the visor is pretty thick too......
