  1. Sounds like the temp sensor for the fan is playing up.......dunno if it's just a thermal switch on the Hornet or if the fan is electronically controlled. Is the bike carb or injected? If it's injected, the fan could be controlled by the ECU. How's the battery voltage? Low battery voltage can do strange things on various bikes.....

  11. These were the ones I saw..... http://www.racevisors.co.uk/product/pin ... tAodbzYAaA
  12. I find that the foam earplugs muffle the sound too much for me......I'm not comfortable riding the bike like that.... I use some that are designed for air travel which attenuate the wind noise, but I can still hear the engine and other stuff around me ok..... There were some I saw recently that are designed for biking......I think they were in the Visor Shop site.....
  13. Nice one....... Why not put a post in the rideouts section and see if any others up that way might be interested.....
  14. With CoPilot you can select alternative routes.....you can also set waypoints or drag the route to where you want to go.... I use CoPilot with a waterproof mount and charger on the bike.....

    radiator leaking

Welcome to TMBF mate.......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys..... How bad is the leak? ......I've used K-seal rad sealant in the past......worked a treat.....
  16. I saw a youtube vid recently where a guy used a hot air paint stripper gun to heat the area where there was a dent.....then, when it was fairly warm, he sprayed some of that freezer spray onto the area......and the dent popped out......
  17. There used to be a waterproof road atlas for bikes......but I don't know if it's still available.....or get a small tankbag with a map window......
  18. It was a good day for it for sure.........B-King looking good mate......

  20. Carb clean time.....
  21. Don't go in thinking that you're gonna fail.....coz you will.......go in with a positive attitude and it will come through in your riding...... Good luck......
  22. So long as the lights work and the horn works it should be ok. A lot of smaller bikes suffer with the lights dimming as the revs drop. Other things that will be checked are: Indicators - working and flash rate......too fast or not flashing at all will fail Tyres - Tread depth greater than 1mm.....and no cuts or signs of cracking Chain & Sprockets - Correct tension and no signs of badly worn sprockets Steering head bearings - No play in them and no notches in the movement Wheels Bearings - No lateral play in them. Swing arm bearings - No lateral play in them Brakes - Must pass the rolling road brake test. Fork seals & rear shock(s) - must not be leaking Exhaust - not blowing......and not too loud Fairings & mudguards - must be secure......not flapping about. I think that's about it......
