Nice.... Compared to the Beemer it'll be like riding a rocket ship.....
  2. PM Megawatt.....he'll probably help you do it for a reasonable price....
  3. Get Honda to replace it under warranty.......start fiddling with it or spraying stuff yourself and you give them the excuse to walk away.....
  4. Check out Vee wiper too..... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bob-Heath-Wipe- ... B006VC9DRM
  5. Waterproof waterproofs are the Holy Grail......I've heard they exist....but never seen them.... I got a secondhand Rukka jacket, which should be good in the wet.....so have a look at that kind of thing also.....
  6. I had a Campbell 2-1 on a Honda CB175.......had a weird arrangement in the end can where there was 2 slotted disks with a central bolt going through them.....you could turn one of the disks so the slots were fully open, or turn it to close the slots.....kinda like a variable baffle......so you tune it to the level of noise you wanted.....
  7. That's pretty neat......wonder if anyone has approached him about importing into Europe....
  8. Replace the coils first as it's a relatively easy job to do..... Coils of show up as a problem when the engine is under load at lower revs.....but often clears when you get the revs up... Someone on here had a misfire problem on a Fazer some time back.....I think it turned out to be water in the float bowls on his carbs.....
  9. If you're stopping somewhere, kill the engine with the kill switch and then pop it into neutral..... Stu's right (as usual)....replace the plain plates as well as the friction plates and springs with decent quality stuff.... Top tip mate.....on many bikes the clutch cover can be removed without draining the oil as long as the bike is on the sidestand.....
  10. Not got anyone special in mind Matt......had a couple of guys on 100% Biker who said they could do the welding for me......guess I'll see once I get the brackets made....
  11. Clutch drag......is the bike due for an oil change? As it happens more with a cold engine, then it may be down to the viscosity of the oil when it's cold.....
  12. The project is still moving....albeit slowly. Mainly been getting bits together and waiting for the seat unit.....but, the seat unit finally arrived....hoorah. So I now need to fab some brackets for it and then get some welding done. Then the frame and fork legs and wheels need powder coating. Here's a PIC with the seat unit balanced in position to get an idea of the lines.....and a pic of the rear light that I got.....checked with my MOT tester this morning and he says it won't be a problem... Seat unit balanced. Rear light...with a pound coin to give an idea of the size!

  14. I'm off out with my lads in a bit, and down to my mum's on Sunday......and I think the forcast for Monday is fairly cr*p.....so it looks like a non-biking weekend for me Ollie.....
  15. Look Over Yonders Wall - Joe Bonamassa
  16. Yeah, it was good to see you and the other guys there Gaz......I was heading over to chat to you when you got the phone call......hope it's all ok mate?
  17. Ahhh....yes......Warranty......soft, strong and thouroughly absorbent..... Did you get a handbook for the alarm? The 3 beeps probably mean something, which may be described in the handbook.....along with any remedy..... If you declared the alarm to your insurer you may be duty bound to either replace it, or let them know it's been removed.....especially if you got a discount on the premiums for having an alarm fitted....
  18. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the Newbies section and say hi to the folks when you can..... Maybe post in the For Sale/Wanted section.....but please make sure you put WANTED in the title or Rennie will come round and drink your cider.....
  19. (I'm Looking For) Cracks In The Pavement - Duran Duran
  20. Check clutch lever free play.....will take 30 seconds.....
  21. Take plugs out, put bike on paddock stand, put it into a high gear, turn back wheel......
  22. Check the free play in the clutch lever.....if it's too tight the clutch may not be engaging fully....
  23. No mate.....if the engine is locked the starter won't do anything. Pull the plugs as Stu suggested and see if the motor will spin on the starter.....just watch for stuff coming out of the plug holes....don't put your eyes over holes when spinning the motor....just in case.....
