  1. 750 ml......that don't sound like much oil....check the sight glass or dipstick to make sure the level is OK....
  2. Hey tango, I think I'm riding down with remy, I was going to go to London to see Big Ben and mr fozzie but the weather is utter shite and mr fozzie lives 7 hours away Ok Ricky.....thought that was a bit of a detour for you.....even by your standards.....
  3. There's a few threads with cheaper alternative sport cameras reviewed.....have a look in the Tried & Tested section and Helmet cam reviews......
  4. We're going cross country Joeman.....planning on leaving mid-morning and having a steady bimble across.....dunno what time you'll be heading up there or which route you'd take.....but I guess we'll be in Bicester around lunchtime......so, if the route and times work out mate we could rendezvous around there.... Ricky said he may ride across with us.....depends what his plans are.....
  5. Welcome to TMBF mate.....pop over to the Newbies section and say hello to the folks when you get chance..... Sorry to hear about your off......glad that you weren't badly injured..... Sounds like the bike went into a tank slapper.....unusual at such a low speed......unless you'd had a tyre blow out on the front.... Was the roads dry, or was there standing water? Normally, if you get into a tank slapper the best course is to accelerate out of it.....generally, shutting the throttle or braking will make it worse....
  6. Well my meh day has turned into a decent one, thanks for that littlecat! just found this connected to my bike http://gyazo.com/197c462af8882e77ec8672f6ec48e218 contacted a family member who's 100miles away but might know what it is and have a spare one going! fingers crossed, if not i'm going to a restaurant and using there plugs! That looks like an Optimate or other battery charger connector mate....
  7. Bog Roll Blues - Groundhogs
  8. 10mm holes Ollie? They're bl**dy big! What size bolts does it use to hold the panniers onto the frames?
  9. The caliper will normally be mounted onto the bracket by 2 bolts.....so, if you remove these bolts you should be able to slide the caliper off the disk..... It just makes removing and refitting the wheel easier.....and on some bikes the rim of the wheel won't go past the caliper with it still in place.....
  10. Rennie and Sue stayed there a week or so age.....so they may be able to advise on the grub front....
  11. Congrats mate.....now the fun bit starts.....
  12. Yeah....no need to split the chain....just move it forwards on the adjusters to slacken it off a bit so you can get it off the rear sprocket.... I would also move the rear caliper.....no need to undo the hydraulic line, just remove the bolts holding it to the carrier and swing it out of the way.....will make getting the wheel out and back in so much easier.....and you can have a look at the pads and general condition of the caliper while you've got the wheel out..... Then pretty much as Adam says.....undo the wheel nut on the spindle and draw the spindle out.....just put something under the wheel while you're doing this....just to stop the wheel dropping as you pull the spindle out......and mark any washers and spacers so you know what order they go in.....and on which side of the wheel and which way round they go......take piccys as you go along.....just in case you forget something.....
  13. It's not hard....if you have the right tools. Is the rear brake a disk or drum? And does the bike have a centre stand?
  14. Maybe Stu should have mentioned that was on a trip in Germany....on the Autobahn....
  15. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys and gals when you get chance..... What's the condition of your tyres? Squared off rear tyre or the front with the shoulders worn can make the bike feel strange in corners..... You could also check the condition of the bearings....headstock, wheel & swingarm bearings can also affect the handling.... Others, that have or had a cbr600 will probably give you better answers than these....
  16. Ortlieb dry sacks on sale at Go Outdoors at the moment......35L bag is under £13......
  17. I use those adjustable webbing straps to hold the stuff onto my bike.......but I have the Kriega Tail Pack which has loops that I can put the straps through to secure other stuff to it..... And I use a Dry Sac for the sleeping bag and roll mat and a few other bits that I can squeeze in..... I think you can pick Dry Sacs up fairly cheaply......not as cheap as bin liners admittedly.....but the Dry Sac is more robust......nothing worse than getting somewhere to find your sleeping bag is soggy....
  18. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys.....they're more likely to help you out if you say hello to them first..... How's the battery doing?
  19. Midnight Rider - The Allman Brothers Band
  20. Er....yeah.....good point Stu.....
  21. Joybringer - Mannfred Mann's Earth Band
  22. Congrats mate......I guess you've already got bike experience from the 125.....so it's just a case of adjusting to a bigger bike.....
  23. It's up to Stu & Vicki really.....but I don't see any reason not to sticky it if it gets popular.....this part of the forum isn't high traffic.....so it wouldn't really clutter it up....
  24. Only one flaw with this plan Craig.....Megawatt isn't going to be there.....
  25. The second one......first one looks like an old print.....and they want £35 for a new one....
