  1. Not Stainless steel.....but maybe an option? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MEGAPHONE-EXH ... 4897.l4276
  2. I fitted an intelligent charger for my phone.......it wires direct to the battery but doesn't turn on unless the phone is connected.......doesn't seem to drain the battery, but the bike is on the optimate when it's not being used. .......
  3. TBH I don't think you'll have much luck finding an aftermarket generic Stainless Steel can with that size inlet.......give Alan (Megawatt) a PM or bell....I'm sure he could sort something out for you......
  4. Sinnis Cafe Racer 125.......says in the OP's profile...... OP did ask for recommendations......we can all look on Google, but nothing will beat the recommendation of someone who has actually bought and used the item......
  5. Look on the site mate....there's pics of jeans where guys have had an off at 70mph........and the para-aramid lining has not gone through...... The thing with the Hood jeans is the amount of coverage of the para-aramid lining.....some bike jeans only have small areas of Kevlar....whereas the Hood jeans have most of the jeans lined with the protective material..... I think the jeans look OK too......but obviously you can see the armoured areas.....but it's not as obvious as some other biking jeans...... I'm really pleased with mine........great for summer riding......but they are obviously lined, so they will get a bit hotter than non-lined jeans when you're walking about......
  6. Hood Jeans mate.....had a pair for a few years now and they still look good...... http://www.hoodjeans.co.uk/
  7. Welcome to TMBF mate.....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the gang when you get a chance.......Oh....and please put your general location in your profile...... Personally I'd go straight for the DAS.....the extra training for the DAS and riding a bigger bike will be more beneficial to you IMHO...... I'd also aim for something like a 600cc bike after passing.....it'll have a bit more road presence and a bit more power on tap if it's needed....and it'll only go as fast as you let it......

    Throttle problem

Yeah.....Please introduce yourself in the Newbies section when you get chance....... That's the trouble with ordering stuff at this time of year......you may not see it for a week or so...... Hope it gets sorted quickly for you though......
  9. Sorry to hear that Fozzie.....my condolences to you and your family. ......
  10. Stu has made some changes to the Forum and it was felt that the "Show Us Yours" was a good thread, but people maybe wanted to add a bit more and also talk about their bike.....and also maybe follow its evolution during their ownership.....so this section is just that.....start a thread about YOUR bike.....pics, what's been done to it, any plans you've got in mind, pros & cons of ownership, etc..... I'll kick off with my Speedie..... 2005 Triumph Speed Triple 1050. I've owned it just over a year now. The bike came with the following extras: Factory option Black Tribal Paint Fly Screen (painted to match the rest of the bike) Belly Pan (painted to match the rest of the bike) Triumph TOR cans Carbon Fibre Heat Shields Carbon Hugger and chain guard Carbon look frame protectors R&G Aero Crash Bungs Triumph T-Handle grab rail Renthal Bars Pazzo Levers Triumph Radiator and oil cooler guards. Thatcham alarm. Mesh air duct covers on side panels. R&G Tail Tidy Earl's Stainless braided water pipes. Polished stainless front sprocket cover Triumph Bar End mirrors I've added the following to it: Leather Seat cover with Dan Medica Gel seat pad. Triumph rear wheel nut covers Paintguard paint protection film Mobile phone holder and charger I put a set of Michelin Pilot Road 3's on it last summer and also replaced the brake pads with Carbone Lorraine pads. Plans for the future? I'd like to get the front rad side covers and the lower tail piece Hydrodipped in Carbon finish and also replace the indicators with newer LED versions. Possibly also replace the rear light with one with a black lens. I also want to get the suspension properly sorted by professionals. And if I win the lottery I'd get OZ Piega wheels and Leo Vince Carbon cans...... What's it like to ride?.....anything from pussy cat to knife wielding psycho.... It'll bimble along at low speed in the higher gears no problem....but get it wound up in the lower gears and the front wheel just lifts. It's not in the same league as the out-&-out sports bikes....but it's more than quick enough for me..... Handling is OK too.....it will shake it's head over some of the bumpy stuff....but it really doesn't get nasty....and it can be pushed pretty hard through the twisties without any dramas. The real big thing that I like about it is the riding position....it is absolutely spot-on for me...the upright bars and slightly rearset pegs suits me down to the ground. 800 miles in effectively 4 days around Wales last Whitsun was easy....apart from day 2 where it rained like you wouldn't believe and the bike really has no protection from it..... Anyway.....a few pics of how it is at the moment.....
  11. Thanks Dave.....I wondered if you'd had the engine vapour cleaned or likewise.......but it was pure elbow grease.....kudos mate.....
  12. Looks real nice Dave...... What did you do to clean up the engine?....and what forks are those?...look a bit like the Speedie ones.....
  13. Good stuff Ollie....are these the Australian Biker Gear set that you've got? Have you reviewed them in the Tried & Tested?......
  14. I thought that Ian, but if the OP is 17 he's got no choice of getting a bigger bike until he's 19!........

    kawasaki zx7r 1996

Welcome to TMBF mate.......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can...... Sounds like a plug/HT lead problem to me.......check the plugs and leads. There's a few with ZX7R's on here....so I'm sure they will be able to give you some more specific advice when they're around......
  16. Moved to Pitstop. You could squeeze more speed out of it, but the work required and the cost wouldn't be worth it.....and you'd have to watch that any modifications wouldn't breach the bhp limit for the 125 licence group.......
  17. Welcome to TMBF mate....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the gang when you can...... Front light - have you replaced the bulb? Brake light - if it comes on with the front brake lever but not with the back brake pedal I would think it's likely to be the rear brake switch or the wiring associated with that......but most likely the switch.

    scooter not working

Basically you want to look around all the electrics and spray any connector that you find with WD40 or ACF50...... The alternator will be inside one of the engine casings normally......it's normally run off one end of the crankshaft. The Reg/Rec will be somewhere in the electrics on your bike....but you'll probably need a service manual to find out exactly where it is......
  19. Congrats mate......yep, let the real fun begin.......
  20. Let Me Put My Love Into You - AC/DC
  21. Congrats Mrs G......hope the Mod1 & 2 go well too......
  22. Walk In My Shadow - Free/Joe Bonamassa
  23. Now you're talking.....SRV & Albert King......
  24. Red House - Jimi Hendrix
  25. Welcome to TMBF Ollie.....pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can...... I think it's pretty much been covered.......New headlamp bulb and maybe some secondhand clocks off eBay.....sorted.....
