1. Happy birthday Rennie.......cider and Karaoke all the way mate......
2. Nice one, mate......Triumph is all I'm gonna say.....
3. Nice one, Ricky.....beers are on you at the rally then?....
4. Congrats on the passes mate....... You need to at least sit on each to see which feels right......test rides would be better if you can get them.....
5. Nice one, mate......just watch those things as you end up doing highly illegal speeds without realising it.....
6. Coil breaking down in the heat......
7. If you have to turn round and look at it as you're walking away from it you've bought the right bike......
8. Already on it been going a few hours. Interesting development, the R/R I took off is a Shendengen mofset . No idea how long it’s been on though. Could be 30000 miles for all I know. Mosfet ones can die too......I had that with an electreX one on my Sprint ST 1050......kept breaking down when it got hot.....caused the clocks to keep resetting and then blew the main fuse......that's the problem with Shunt regulators.....
9. Which Yamaha, Hoggs ......there's an RD400DX, an RD350LC and an XS650C or the red and black one, which i think is a FZ8. ( or maye FZ6)..... The silver one is the 400DX, the black one with the red stripes on the tank is the 350LC and the plain black one with higher bars is the 650C ( I had one of those)......
10. Welcome to TMBF mate. ...... I've moved this to the appropriate section. Sounds like the bike is running too lean.....either the new exhaust needs a remap or you've got a leak on it. Most bikes these days have an O2 sensor in the exhaust system somewhere, which adjusts the injectors via the ecu depending on the running conditions.....have you moved the O2 sensor to the new exhaust or have you just disconnected it?
11. There's a possibility that it's cooked the Stator.......pull the cover off and have a look at it......you'll soon see if it's been cooked......
12. No and he still has electric hook up spots to. Seemed like a nice bloke. Is there still fancy dress happening on the Saturday night? You can count on that, Jay......
13. Congrats......hats off to your perseverance. ....well done......

You're probably too far down now, but our neighbours keep raving about Ardnamurchan......
15. R/R breaking down when it gets hot...... There's a lot of talk on some of the Triumph support forums about using Series regulators instead of Shunt regulators......I think the V-Strom 1000 uses a Series regulator and some folks are offering conversion cables to connect them.......They are meant to be kinder on the Stator windings.....
16. Check out some of the suggestions on this thread.....https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=65867&hilit=Headphones And see what people thought of them.....
17. Actually made it along there last night......a few pics of some of the bikes there......
18. Welcome to TMBF mate. ....... The CBT lasts for 2 years and enables you to ride a 125cc bike on L-Plates.......so it's not specific to any license type, but you do need one before you can take any tests for any category license. 125cc is the max you can ride on L-plates unless you are under instruction with a registered trainer or examiner.....so, no, you can't take a 500 out on the road on your own until you've passed the A2 test.
19. A chair is also very welcome......We've got a couple of these.....not cheap, but fold down small and are very light.....and surprisingly comfortable. ....http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/oex-ultra-lite-camping-chair-p362066?gclid=CjwKCAjwhLHaBRAGEiwAHCgG3kZgooA9jjPybWdFPyv4SVY5dlz6TAvK7jQ3NxJxopgXD24XGmQbERoCdEUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJ2PsJKypNwCFdEg0wodZKUPuw
20. Says I dont have permission to view the images? But I have ordered the Kevlar leggings now so fingers crossed those are a good fit. Don't know why you can't view the images......sounds like one for Stu ......
21. I also rate Vango tents.....We've got a 3 bed tent with front porch ( no pampas grass though) which has plenty of room for bike kit.....it's pretty quick to put up too..... Also consider Khyam biker tents......https://www.khyam.co.uk/tents-c174/type-c388/motorbiking-tents-c391 https://youtu.be/Y5ZcwxtHGKc
22. Dunno if these would fit your trousers, or be any better? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rukka-D3O-Air-Hip-Armour-Protectors-For-Motorcycle-Motorbike-Trousers/151978564479?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D52543%26meid%3Def0f5b72befd47e1b40403eabcd9b7c4%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D172493265632%26itm%3D151978564479&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
23. Didn't someone on here have the front sprocket nut fall off on an R6 some time ago? As others have said, check the splines on the front sprocket and gearbox output shaft......
24. Honda were running on unleaded from the early 1970's.......my first bike (Honda CD175) was designed for unleaded......and that was 1975...... I think the fella was telling you porkies......
25. To see the Northern lights......which we did in Iceland a 18 months ago....... I'd really like to visit the giants on Easter Island......and the site at Machu Picchu....and the Great Wall of China.....and the terracotta army.......and fly into the upper atmosphere and see the earth's curvature..........
