    help

and check valve clearances too......if they are too loose or too tight you'll have problems.....
  9. Sounds like you've got an air leak around the inlet manifold somewhere like Tiggie has suggested.....make sure there's no splits in the manifold rubber and the carb is seated and clamped in there tightly.....
  10. They normally open the gates around 1-2pm on the Friday.....
  11. It's an organised ride from Wheelfit Motorcycles near Waterbeech on the A10 just north of Cambridge to Hunstanton seafront in aid of MAGPAS and in memory of Ashley Martin who was joint owner of Wheelfit Motorcycles who sadly lost his life in a bike accident a few years back..... With so many bikes in the rideout it's inevitable that you get split into smaller groups along the way....but then we regrouped near Tesco's in Hunstanton for a mass ride-in and park on the green...... Then we had a cuppa and some chips....had a look around the bikes....and headed back individually..... A grand day out......
  12. Hi Cat......I'm working on Friday....but I think Mandy is gonna be off.....so I'll cruise in some time in the evening to find the tent pitched and cold beer ready..... Seriously though....Mandy is gonna get lumbered with getting the tent up there and pitching it if I can't get away from work early enough......I'll get Mandy to let you know what time she's planning on getting up there.....
  13. Check the main jet needle......this has several slots on it and a c-clip to set the height......so just make sure the clip is in the correct slot...... Haynes manual would be a good help here......
  14. Next Weekend folks....... Was looking at the website yesterday for ticket prices......camping for the weekend is £42 each......but if you buy in advance it's £36......but then there's a £3 booking fee each.....so booking in advance will save the princely sum of £3 each.......and you run the risk that you're committed to go even if the weather is sh1t......hmmmm....not much incentive there I think..... Anyway....we plan to go and camp as we're mad like that......and shake the tent down ready for the Forum rally......
  15. Back home now....great day out....really well organised and a good turnout (well....not many TMBF'ers there)......and the weather held apart from a little bit of rain on the way back..... Great to see Darren and Terry and share the ride up there with them......cheers guys....hope you both got back OK...... View down the green from the road.....organisers had special dispensation to park on the green. Bonniebird and Roadrunner in the middle checking the bikes out
  16. I think you'd need some knifing stopper to fill the scratch.....then gently sand it smooth......then carefully spray the area with the paint you bought....rub it down with very fine sand paper.....and when it's smooth spray the area with clear laquer to seal it.....
  17. Weather should be OK for this today.......coffee and then getting gear on.....fuel up and meet at Marina.....

  21. Or just grind the head off the allen bolt and let it drop through.....you've probably got to replace it anyway......

    Exhaust repair

Never had a lot of success with Gun-Gum.......but had a plate welded over a large hole in the downpipe on an old TS185 I had.......painted over with black high temp paint......worked a treat and only cost a couple of quid......
  23. Hmmm.....molegrips were probably not the best tool to use on it....they chew the soft alloy up too easily..... One option would be to file some flats on the remains of the bolt to match a smaller spanner....that may be your best option.....and maybe use a little bit of heat around it while trying to undo it.....
  24. Bad luck mate......it'll come good sooner or later......just keep looking at your bike....that'll give you the spur to get this thing done......
