  1. Yeah....the T120 certainly brought back memories......mine looked like that until I got my hands on it......and ended up looking like this. Jack Lilley had a stand there.....and were selling Triumph Tornado 3 textile jackets brand new for £30.....I was VERY tempted.....but my conscience (Mandy) suggested that I may already have enough jackets.....
  2. No....it should be OK.....just don't overdo it as you don't want loads of it spraying all over your back tyre......
  3. Did the high temp warning light come on? .......and did the fan come on?......and did the temp actually start dropping if the fan came on? If the warning light didn't come on and the fan kicked in and the temp dropped a bit that'll be quite normal.....although, checking the coolant level may be a good idea anyway......and if you're gonna service the bike I'd be inclined to drain the coolant and replace it with fresh anyway....... My bike gets pretty hot quickly....but the fan kicks in and drops it down a bit....then the fan drops out for a bit.....and the cycle repeats until I get moving above 30mph again......
  4. Difficult to say what's happening here....but it sounds like your selector forks in the gear box may be bent or damaged...... I take it that the gear lever linkage is OK?.......don't know this bike, so I can't tell if it's got a fancy linkage or just a direct lever connection to the gearbox.....
  5. We're off on the Friday....and will probably take a slowish bimble up there avoiding motorways....so if you are welcome to ride up with us if you want Lou & Ollie......
  6. Yeah....check out 2nd hand Rukka gear on eBay......there may be something on there of your size.....and at a reasonable price (for Rukka).......
  7. Triumph Bike day at the Ace Cafe London this Sunday (9th June)..... We'll probably head down there.....not the most exciting ride....but hopefully it should be a good day...... http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/default.aspx
  8. A man with a history of mental illness assaulted 2 women in a launderette, but ran away before police could apprehend him..........News paper headline read: Nut Screws Washers & Bolts.....
  9. I'm guessing that the speedo cable may be broken or the speedo drive on the front wheel which is why the speedo don't work.....
  10. Anything will only fetch what someone is prepared to pay for it......but it's a known fact that bike prices go up in the summer......it's all about supply and demand......fewer bikes for sale in the summer and more people want them......it's just the way it is!! Unfortunately for OP the Street Triples really hold their value.....so I wouldn't expect to see many below the £4000 mark......
  11. Nice one mate......have MOT, will ride....... You could try moving the gear change lever around a notch or 2 on the spline to raise it up a little bit.....see if that helps.....
  12. Only 3 weeks away!!......hope the weather holds.....
  13. Congrats mate...... Good luck with the MOD2......
  14. So I'll not mention a charger as well......
  15. Yep...that's where I went before I bought my Bell lid....although that was slightly more than £100...... The other major factor when chosing a lid is fit......it's gotta fit right otherwise it don't matter how many Sharp stars it gets.......
  16. S'OK......I don't like to post the full link as it kinda contravenes Forum rules.....but I hope that is the kinda thing you're looking for?......
  17. You did click on the link?.....I thought it was useful......the sort of thing I have on my bike.....
  18. A smooth and safe ride is all the examiner is looking for......so I think the others here have it pretty much covered......and relax.....it'll show in your riding......
  19. Anyway.......a lot of decent textiles these days have Kevlar lining......or decent Cordura with high abrasion resistance.......so they aren't too bad in the event of an off...... I've got Triumph leather jacket and jeans.....and they're pretty good......nice thick leather...... Check the Triumph outlet store to see if they've got anything in your size at a reasonable price.....
  20. This may be a possibility?.....
  21. Blimey Stu....didn't know you could use Textiles on a track....coz you obviously didn't bin it on a public highway at over a ton.....
  22. I've just won a Hein Gericke Gore-Tex Jacket for £16 on eBay....so, yes, buying new can be an expensive game....but buying 2nd hand can work pretty well......lots of "worn a couple of times" stuff on there for sensible money......
  23. That's strange mate.....as I say, all the plug caps I've ever had always screwed onto the HT leads.....so I'm not sure how these will fit..... Just push fitting don't sound that secure to me..... Maybe consider replacing the plug caps with some NGK ones?
  24. Erm....which end caps are you talking about? If you're talking about the Plug caps....they normally screw onto the end of the plug leads as the pin in the plug cap is normally threaded......
  25. Tango

    Sprint st agony

You can use the Diagnostics part of TuneECU to check the TPS setting......but I don't think that's gonna be your problem..... Shame about the 05_06 map not porting across.....it's a good'un..... Maybe the IACV is off a bit on your bike......but I think it's a bit of a faff to check and adjust..... Here is a link to the RAT showing how to check and adjust the TPS and IACV.....
