Congrats on the pass, mate........ The Royal Enfields are quirky......that's about the only thing going for them IMHO. ... Looked at them on the stand at the NEC bike show yesterday......The welding on them is truly shocking.... Bonniebird's brother has one......which he bought after selling my old Trophy 900.......He says it's great for pottering about on, but forget trying to do any motorway riding on it......or any serious mileage......It vibrates like f*ck, and the seat is like a plank..... Any of the others on your list should be good though......

I've bought several things from the J & S outlet warehouse in Finedon.....seemed pretty reasonable to me...... Got my Bell carbon lid there.....was 50% off list price....then they had a new years sale with another 30% off....£500 lid for less than £200......result!.......

They could of course raise their prices to cover the card costs.....but then everyone loses out. Our local pub won't take cards for less than £10 transactions. .....apparently this is because the banksters charge the pub for every card transaction. Again, the pub keep their prices down, so we can't complain. But I think the finger of scorn should be pointed at the banksters and not the traders IMHO......

Could be either/or both reg/rec and alternator Stator.......or it could just be a high resistance connection somewhere in the charging circuit..... I'd start off by tracing all the connectors in that circuit and pulling them apart and checking what they look like......

Be careful of the quality of the relay.....my neighbour was working on a project for his boat and was running a fog horn from his battery via a cheap Chinese relay, the horn was barely audible, but when it was hooked directly to the battery it rattled the windows......He bought a better quality relay, and hey presto, working fog horn......

Yeah...I saw on FB that you're building another one, Alan........why not put a thread up documenting the build?.....I, and plenty of others would be very interested to follow the build, mate.....

Maybe.....either that or dodgy wiring to the light relay....or dodgy relay.....
