  1. I'd pop the tank off first......sounds like your throttle cable routing is wrong, which will need to be corrected before trying to set the throttle play......
  2. My guess is that you've either got a pipe from the tank disconnected somewhere, a hole in the tank or maybe a sticking float in the carb ( if it has one).....
  3. What size is it?......maybe one for another bike may fit? Have a look at the ads in Back Street Heroes or 100% Biker, you may find a supplier in there.....
  4. Protesting achieves nothing? I think the suffragettes prove that statement wrong.......and more recently the Icelandic people who got their corrupt banksters jailed! Groups like MAG who organise demonstrations to protest against unfair motorcycle legislation are proof that sometimes this action is required to show how strongly groups of people feel about what's going on. The government petition program was started to allow people to directly access parliament to let them know how a body of voting citizens feel about certain subjects......and if enough people support it, then parliament ( who are employed by us) should react to it. You cannot then "cherry pick" what's allowed and what is not. This petition has passed the 1.6 million signatures......which means that there's a pretty good proportion of the electorate that are in support of this proposal.....to ignore it is very undemocratic. BTW.....I assume that those in support of president Chump's visit will be quite happy to chip in to cover the estimated £10m security bill that it's going to require?
  5. Congrats on the CBT mate...... Yeah.....Make sure any bike gear you buy fits correctly.....especially the helmet......
  6. Spanner may have a generic Chinese 125 manual that may help......PM him and ask.....
  7. May need some pics, to help......
  8. My Kreiga US20 is a few years old now.......but still 100% waterproof.....and, as Six30 says, you can attach other ones to it to expand capacity when needed......or attach a dry sack to it.....
  9. Would a YBR125 engine fit?
  10. Hi Sharon....good news on the CBT. Going for the DAS and getting a bigger bike sounds like a plan. Any cruisers in particular caught your eye?
  11. Direct Access.......The "new" test, mate......
  12. Yep....sounds like a clutch issue. Maybe the clutch thrust bearing or the clutch basket are shot.
  13. Good luck matey.....you'll get there......
  14. You should be able to run the USB charger socket through the same relay, assuming the total current doesn't exceed the relays rating..... USB sockets can draw a small amount of current even with nothing plugged into them, so running it through a relay is generally a good idea.....
  15. There's nothing wrong in needing a bit more training mate......better to iron out the wrinkles in your riding now, in a controlled environment, than later when you're out on the road on your own..... Stick with it......It does all fall into place eventually.....
  16. I've got a chocolate starfish.
  17. Graphite from pencils works good too......
  18. I always thought that the price quoted in the tender is the price agreed upon......otherwise it makes a mockery of the whole tender process. You could just put your best price in with no discount and if you lose, challenge the tender as it does not meet the legal standards required and make them go through the whole process again!

Yep......I'd be calling trading standards..... Anyway, glad it's working for the time being......

    Cracked Fork

Sounds to me more like the steel in the old seals/dust seal reacted with the alloy in the fork sliders, causing the cracks. I wonder if you could get them alloy welded? Although not ideal, I don't think it's indicative of the imminent failure of the fork legs.....
  21. Mine gets the full treatment, Stu.......wash, rinse, chamois, Polish and ACF50. ......
  22. Spanner is your man.......
  23. Nope.....no pressure washer on the bike. The way I look at it is when I'm washing the bike by hand I look more closely at it.....and that's when I often notice that somethings not right....A loose bolt, a cable that's snagging, etc.....so I do some preventative maintenance and hopefully prevent some potential problem. ......standing 3 feet away with a pressure washer doesn't give me that same interaction with the bike.....
