  1. Nice one mate....... let the good times roll......
  2. Bad luck mate......but stick with it, you'll soon get your full A license......
  3. The main question here is "have you got a Shoei shape head" six?.....you need to try some on the see if they fit ok.....
  4. Yep....because heat and stressing could cause the o-rings to harden and crack......so maybe you've hit the nail on the head there, Joe.....
  5. There must be some give in the o-rings to allow the rollers on the chain to roll......so there must therefore be a way for water and dirt to get in.....and also for the lube to get in. I wonder how much of the original grease you would find inside the rollers if you cut a chain open at the end of its life?
  6. Could be a blown head gasket on that cylinder.......or it could just be blowing around the header......
  7. You can check for inlet manifold leaks quite easily.......have the bike on tick over and spray wd40 around the inlet manifold.....If the rev's rise when doing this you know there's a leak around there......
  8. Oil & filter change about 500 miles ago, also new air filter same time new plug 2 weeks ago. Valve clearance? (not fully up on engines, sorry) How is that done? You'd need a manual for the bike if you haven't already got one.....calling Spanner...... I'm guessing on that bike it will be set with tappet adjustment. Basically it's adjusting the gap between the cam and the valve stems. If the gap is not set correctly you'll either have valves not closing fully (loss of compression) or not opening fully (not enough fuel/air mixture getting into the combustion chamber or exhaust gases not being expelled fully) ........either can cause the symptoms you are experiencing. ......
  9. What maintenance has been done on it? Things like filters, Valve clearances, plug, oil, etc......
  10. Nice one, mate......good luck with the DAS when the time comes.....
  11. Well, it was about time that we got someone sensible to moderate this place......oh.....wait......
  12. Triumph Sprint 955i?......there's a few on eBay at low money at the moment...... http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=primaloft&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R4.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xtriumph+sprint.TRS0&_nkw=triumph+sprint&_sacat=0
  13. Do the rev's increase or stay the same when it slows down?.....If so, it could be clutch slip.....
  14. Moved to Pitstop. .....
  15. Happy birthday Arwen......hope you have a great day......
  16. Try explaining that to Ozzy Osborne. .......
  17. Looks too low to me.......should be around 13.5v with the engine running. New Stator or 2nd hand? I'd be checking the condition of all connectors in the charging circuit......also the condition of the ground wire from the battery to the engine.....Make sure that the connection at both ends is clean.....
  18. Looks nice, mate......
  19. I think it's a bl**dy stupid idea.......what would be better is that you buy the Striple R and then ship it to me and I'll look after it for you......This would remove any risk for you.......
  20. Which make of boots are they?......my old Sidis were always tight.....even after 5 years......and I even went up a size because I'd heard that they're normally pretty snug........my TCX's on the other hand are super comfy......and they're my normal size......
  21. The Triumph gear I've got tends to come up a bit on the large side........The thing to watch is that some manufacturers put continental sizes on their labels.......so a 46 jacket is actually a 36" chest or thereabouts.........
  22. Looks real nice mate.......keep it shiny side up......
  23. I must have done the advanced test.....because mine had a slow riding bit too......I'm sure the examiner couldn't have walked any slower if he tried......fortunately the CD175 was good for this.......In fact, one of my mates had a Ducati 250 with clip-ons, which was a pig to ride slowly.....so he borrowed my bike to do his test.....
  24. Tango

    Rear Brake Light + MOT

I never knew that banjos had brake lights......
