    Have you tried Oponeo?.....
  2. Congrats on the pass......good choice of bike too......
  3. I'm 58......does that mean I'm for the chop?......In which case XTreme is seriously f*cked.....
  4. I started with a bikesafe. Differing opinions as to their worthiness and despite many views about them being a waste of time I found it quite useful. Biggest thing I learnt was that the motorcycle cops are bikers who just happen to be coppers! Made me want to look at advanced ... you'll enjoy it. They went to great lengths on the Bikesafe course I did that it was a taster and an assessment of our riding skills, but we should look to further develop those skills with advanced driving tuition. I think the pack they gave us included details of local IAM and RoSPA groups......
  5. I hope it was smooth peanut butter.....The cruchy stuff is no good for this kind of job.....
  6. So you'll be coming to the rally then, Lateralus? .......
  7. Welcome back Zod.......I guess the probing didn't turn up anything useful, so they sent you back?.... Good luck with the test, mate.....
  8. Could do with some pics if you can, mate......
  9. Welcome to TMBF mate. ......... I assume that the CDI unit is ok?.......and the crank sensors check out?........did you check more than 1 plug for sparking?
  10. Is the battery fully charged?......
  11. Report him to trading standards then......
  12. Could be that the forks have twisted in the yokes a bit from the drop........is the front wheel aligned with the bars?
  13. US 12 is UK 11...... I recently got a pair of TCX boots.....really comfy compared to my Sidi's, which tend to be quite narrow.........I got UK 11 TCX boots, which have plenty of room....whereas the Sidis were UK 11.5 and were tight......so, you really need to try them on......
  14. My company car list is pretty much exclusively diesels because they are the only ones that can meet the CO2 limits that the company imposes, with the exception of a couple of Hybrids.....but they're not big enough to haul the kit that I need to do my job. Also, as the Hybrids have petrol engines, I'd have to pay back the petrol engine rate for my private mileage to the company..... I wonder how our old European neighbours are dealing with this, as most cars in France, Germany, Netherlands, etc are diesel.....
  15. That looks excellent, except I'll be getting a new phone in a couple of months and there's a very strong chance it'll have a different type of connector for charging! Is it simply a case of connecting it to the battery, and that's all? Yep......just attach it to the battery with the ring connectors......easy peasy....... My new phone has USB-C connector.....so I just use my old phone as a satnav.....
  16. We met our friends and took the scenic route up there.......got there at 12. Met Yorbandit and Bex while we were there....... Resisted buying anything......just drooled over some of the bikes.......
  17. I'd go with that......bigger bikes are often more stable......plus the extra training you'd get when doing your DAS would be beneficial......
  18. Chances are that you had some air trapped somewhere, which has now cleared.......or it's come out of the expansion tank overflow.......my Speedy is good at spitting excess coolant out the overflow pipe when he gets hot......
  19. It may come out.....or it may just rattle around in there......won't do any harm.....
  20. We're aiming to get there around 12:00 tomorrow. .......heading up with some other Triumph riders.....
  21. Paracord......
  22. Totally agree, daftest idea I've heard in ages. modern engines are mostly alloy, so how much use is a magnetic sump plug these days? whats it going to collect? Bits of bearings, cylinder liners, bits of gears, etc.......but ideally it shouldn't be collecting anything, if your engine is in good order......
  23. I've used these guys before and a lot of their phone cases etc are good.....If a little pricey. .....but you get what you pay for..... http://buybits.com/
  24. I had the Ultimate Addons charger and after a while the on/off button died, leaving the thing on all the time! I have this charger on my bike now, which senses when a device is attached to it and switches itself on, then switches itself off when the device is fully charged or removed......been on the bike for over 4 years now with no problems. ......http://buybits.com/angled-micro-usb-hardwire-direct-to-battery-charging-cable-for-motorcycles-cars-sku-16001.html
  25. We went last year for the first time......bl**dy great event.......anyone who likes the old racing bikes needs to go.......
