    9/11

    I was working in a lab in the main hospital in Jersey......someone came in and said a plane had crashed into the WTC......The Internet then fell over, so news was a bit sketchy after that. I was staying in an hotel in St Helier that night and went to a pub for dinner and a beer. There was a TV on in the bar with news and live reports.....everyone in the bar was watching it in complete silence......

    Tappets are not difficult to do.......but you need a Haynes manual......and some feeler gauges. ......
  3. Spanner is your man for this.......If he doesn't come along soon send him a PM.......
  4. Oh.....I forgot........angle grinder......absolutely essential. ....
  5. Dunno if they've got any left, but the Tempest jacket on the Triumph outlet site looks a good bet for £50...... http://www.triumphfactoryoutlet.com/jackets.html?p=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Or look for some secondhand Rukka stuff....... Dunno how good these boots are. ......but they're Goretex....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dainese-Fulcrum-C2-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Touring-Goretex-Waterproof-Mens-Boots-/291737585275?var=&hash=item43ecea467b:m:mx6hGjjehdnAIvcUa0GGybQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
  6. Dunno about the network Joe......I'll see who has the best deals..... My mobile is with EE....so I'll see if they'll do me a deal on a PAYG sim.
  7. £21......plus SIM......I think I'll pull the trigger on one and see how it goes......
  8. Was intending to buy one to see what they are like. Ive bought a few Gps trackers and most have been good. If these can relay vehicle data in real-time, that would be cool. OBD2 port doesn't switch off with ignition so just be careful you don't drain your battery! Yeah....says 22mA current draw on 12v......but the bike is on an optimate in the garage when it's not being used, Joe. I think it just gets its power from the OBD2 port.....so, no real time data from the ECU.......although there is an OBD2 bluetooth transmitter available for that......
  9. Has anyone come across these before?....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OBD2-Car-GPS-GPRS-RealTime-Tracker-Vehicle-Spy-Personal-Tracking-Device-Locator-/231971192452?hash=item36028f7e84:g:VEQAAOSwqBJXVosq" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Thoughts?

    It doesn't sound like valve clearances to me........probably blowing a bit where the header pipe goes into the cylinder head......may need reseating or just tightening.....

  16. I can't do Sunday either, Ian.......but tomorrow is looking pretty dire.....don't mind a bit of rain, but the forecast is looking pretty wet......With intervals of deluge!......
