  1. Good luck with it mate........as Arwen says, try not to use too much rear brake, most of your braking should come from the front brake.....
  2. Is it running at all mate?.......you could have a stuck float in a carb......try tapping the carbs with the handle of a screwdriver (I'm assuming it's not injected?), to try to free the float.

  4. Glad to hear you're back on the road. The brake and clutch issues are probably to do with the new levers.....maybe try to adjust them out from the bars a bit.
  5. nice one, is the food good? what time normally you meet? They normally have a BBQ going in the warmer weather.....food's been good so far... Depending on work, we normally get there 6:30-7:00pm......but bikes are coming and going all the time..... Be good to see you down there some time, mate.....

  7. The trouble is, Adam, that it does all happen so quickly.......as I witnessed in January......leaving 2 people dead! I did many years of defensive driving courses with one of my previous employers and I learnt a hell of a lot from them.....even though I'd been on the road for nearly 15 years when I joined the company......well worth doing if you do a lot of driving.....
  8. Could be worn or sticking brushes in the starter motor......Sometimes they are more likely to stick when the engine is hot.......you should be able to pull the starter motor off pretty easily and split it to check the brushes......
  9. Yep, pretty much. I use CoPilot. ....and have for several years. It does exactly what I want......so I don't see any point in changing it.... But it's always useful to see what other options are out there though.....

  12. Pull the plugs out and crank the engine over and see if any oil comes out the plug holes......
  13. Yeah, anti-tamper bolts as EAB says.......drill them out is the only way......
  14. HT is High Tension......basically it's the very high voltage to the plug caps.....I assume that's the wire you're talking about? You can buy the wire by the foot from car spares places, or online.....
  15. Yeah....lengthening an HT wire a few inches shouldn't hurt.....The timing may go out by a nanosecond or 2.....
  16. Was that the one you failed cause your on the wrong side of the road. No, I passed......that was the beauty of those old tests.....so long as the examiner didn't see you it was OK! ...

  19. HD bought Buell, and then promptly shut it down. Eric was in tears at the announcement. EBR had stopped production last I heard. EBR have just announced that they're gonna be building bikes again.....
