  1. Very Jealous!! Looking good up on the C&F!! http://www.maccinfo.com/cat/
  2. Have a look here mate. viewtopic.php?f=32&t=16313 Leathers can be hotter especially when not moving, impossible to filter or stopped for a drink. In colder weather though you get cold quick!! Leather protects better in a crash. They don't wear out as quick. Don't have textiles myself, although hoping to this year. At the moment though I prefer to have leathers. I would say they are (Abrasive Test) about 20% - 30% better than motorbike textiles. This gap is closing though as textile technology moves forward. Kevlar is proving to be very good in textile clothing.
  3. Enjoy guys..... Miserable in Derby at the moment, and the weather only tend to go downhill as you get to Matlock and even worse in Buxton.... Be careful and ride safe!!
  4. Don't worry about it mate... With the exception of a cotton balaclava to wear under my helmet (My ears rub and it hurts!! ) I had everything before I bought my first bike!! Nice leathers mate!
  5. Meh.... First of the summer... Got lots more coming over the next few months.
  6. Dan has my number!! Can't promise anything though. Will be at work so might not be able to get to my PC...
  7. What time will you be up there?
  8. Looking less likely for me at the moment. Should know more tomorrow.
  9. Been using that rag and paraffin style for a year now... Although I do love the smell of the stuff, I don't get the chain anywhere near as good as this thing can do it!!
  10. Ignore out un-patriotic friends... Shark make decent helmets I believe, although never had one to look at properly. Helmet City seem pretty good. Website certainly seems professional enough..
  11. Got any pictures mate?
  12. Not gonna make it tonight unfortunately... Something has come up at work and I need to be in Birmingham at stupid o-clock tomorrow...
  13. Who cares what people think... Best £40 ever spent!!! Anyhoo....
  14. You are using that picture a little too often TC.... I have concerns!!!
  15. Does mate. Should be a good day!! Just watch out for the Friday afternoon nutters!!! Apparently risking lifes to get home earlier to start the weekend 2 minutes ealier is worth the risk....
  16. Actually mate, got big things on at work, so it's a no for me.... Annoying!!
  17. Might see if I can get the day off mate.... Can't promise though!!
  18. Looks good mate!! Drop into Newbies and introduce yourself!!
  19. no worries, always gets a bit of attention, and I love how it puts smiles on peoples faces Just count yourself lucky my Dad ain't coming... You would have to drag him off it, kicking and screaming!!!
  20. Nice one Clee!!! Be warned though, my upbringing of Beetle cars will mean I will be drooling over it!!
  21. Seriously?
  22. Well unless the weather changes for the worse I will be leaving Derby about 8:30. If anyone wants to join me they are welcome (I have a route planned out, but TBH I get lost easy... )
  23. For those interested... I have had a good look round the place. We might have to bunk down in seperate places dependant on numbers. No matter what though I think we will be looking at around £200 to £250 for the week. A "House" deposit will be needed which will be fully refundable at the end of the week (If you ain't broke anything or broken the rules). Obviously this is still about a year and a half away, but I think Friday 20th August will be our ride up day. Vicki, not had a chance to look into the cost of Children unfortunately, but will see. Other activities include, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, and a load of other stuff.... Oh and we might get chance to ride the bikes as well!!
  24. Voted same, for same reasons, although I never had a VFR Like Rennie says, get a Triumph (I think he is on about a Tiger) to test ride as well.
