  1. Nice site mate!! TBH I don't mind a few showers, but everything seems to be suggesting heavy rain for Saturday. Don't think I will be bothering if it's gonna be one long day of rain!! Still, who knows. Weather men can't make up their flamin mind!! Sunday is looking promising though...
  2. Gonna be my plan I think!!
  3. Bloody weather!!! I think we should just see what is happening on Friday night with this. 5 day forecast shows rain every day now. I don't mind the odd shower, but not going to ride in a whole day of rain.
  4. yeah.. but there was a chance of rain, so no Korben. Oi, less of your cheek!!! I had important things to do last night!!
  5. I was worried about the heat thing, but it's got some clever technology in it to keep the heat away from you. I tried it on under my leathers in a shop on a hot day and never got any more unfortable then i would anyway. Plus if I remove the chest plate, it's pretty much the same as yours anyway. Hoping to get it next month although the way things keep hitting my wallet it may have to wait until the NEC Motorbike show!!
  6. Bloomin eck!!!! Tried one of those sort of things once. It was the Alpinestars one. Unforutunately I could not get on with it though. It would not sit right under any jacket I tried on with it. Very strange feeling. I have found the Knox one is a lot better simply as it does not have the shoulder and elbow protection on it.
  7. Korben...aka...The Weather Man You wouldn't let it lie!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/tees/weareteesside/halloffame/images/vicandbob_203.jpg
  8. Can't make this tonight Phil. Had a text from Willow as well. She is unable to get down as well. Sorry mate. Think SK13 and ginganinja might be around though.
  9. Ah feck!!!! It's all changed!!! Weather report was good for Sat and bad for Sun.... They have swapped. This might have to be Sunday now instead!!
  10. Best get yourself up here then!!
  11. Ey Up Gooser Might be worth visiting the Givi website and having a look to see if they have any downloadable content you could use. Pop into Newbies and introduce yourself mate. Stick around. Good group us lot.
  12. TBH mate I think they are all pretty much the same now. I am actually getting this http://www.harpersraceshop.co.uk/item3190.htm It's got a chest protecter built into it as well. Liked the idea of them, and when I tried one on, it felt really comfy, fitted under my leathers and generally does everything I want it to. If I had not had to fork out for a new back tyre last week I would have one now...... Still thinking about getting one though this weekend!!
  13. Had a quick scout around, and everyone on the web seems to be selling them at that same price at the moment. Just find out who does cheapest (Or free) delivery. One other thing. I am looking to buy a new Knox protector in the near future. Searching round the web found it for a good price. Went into my local bike shop to test which size I would be getting and it was £10 cheaper than anywhere on the web. With the panic of the countries finances at the moment I think shop sellers are trying to out do the web. It might be worth having a scout round the local shops!!
  14. Go for naturally as much as possible. More than anything, don't leave em wet!!!! A normally heated house will be fine. I think as long as you don't actually sit em on a radiator then they should be fine.
  15. No, stop!!! Please, my sides are splitting you are that funny.... You should be a comedian!! Sarcastic fecker!! Seriously though, he is right... I ain't going if it's raining. Been caught in the rain in the Cat before and it were not fun!!!!!!!
  16. Heard good things about Oxford. I would stick with them mate!!
  17. Hi all Weather dependant, (Leave it Willow!!!) but Saturday is looking good for a rideout. Thinking about having a fun ride on Saturday involving Matlock, the C&F and maybe a couple of other places. Anyone up for it let me know..... Tell you what. I will be in the Fish Pond Car Park in Matlock on Sat between 10:30 and 11am, then will be at the cat for about midday ish. Fancy it, then come down and join me. COME ON NEWBIES!!! LETS SEE SOME OF YOU OUT!!
  18. Heard on the Radio 1 news this morning that a new track in Portugal (I think) is naming one of it's corners the "Craig Jones Corner" out of respect for the lost rider. Found this link with a short story regarding it. A great tribute. http://www.bikesportnews.com/articles/a ... S_MEMORY_1 Thanks
  19. Cool. Will probably be there around 7ish. Gonna take the long way there tonight!!! Basically heading off in totally the wrong direction and finding a fun route back!! You got the sprogs with you tonight?
  20. Sounds good to me. What time you gonna be there?
  21. Darn you woman!!!!! I was going to clean the bike and leathers tonight, but you had to go and organise a trip to MFN in the fine weather. Now I have to go!!! Want me to pop down to yours and meet you?
  22. Thin balaclava underneath. My ears rub on the inside and it makes them very sore. Thin balaclava pins them down!! Hope your helmet is not too lose mate. You want a tight fitting one. Safer that way. A lose fitting helmet can be dangerous!!
  23. Couple of other things...... Sorry if this is insulting, but some people don't check the obvious!! You could have accidently hit the kill switch, then accidently hit it again moving the bike out of the garage which is why it started. If it's in gear and the stand is down it won't start..... Spent 2 minutes figuring that one out last Wednesday. Had kicked it into gear while putting the stand down and did not realise..... Perhaps I should have realised the green neutral light was not on!!
  24. Yeah they can scratch the tank which is a down side. Mine does actually change into a rugsack with a couple of straps that comes with it. Not sure which model it is, but it's a Givi!!
  25. Never used a rugsack myself. Would rather leave my body free. Have a tankbag instead. Looks like a good one though if you are going to use one.
