  3. i,m hoping to do some euro touring, dates are pretty much set, cos i will be in germany for my birthday, the plan was originally to ride some highly recommended roads in germany, france etc,,,,,,,but, now i see the easy distance,,,,,,,,,,,,,i,m going to make an effort to ride Silvretta Hochalpstrasse, Nauders pass, Fluela pass, the Via Alpsu,Furkapass,Grimsel pass, Jaun pass, and routes thro Eifel and Blackforest, this will take me ( intentionally) through 9 countries in 8 days, but only a total of about 1750 miles from Calais and back, i've already had to provisionally book accomodation cos of the high demand in the Alps, but happy to meet up anyone en route or woteva, my provisional dates are from tunnel fri 21st june, returning Sunday 30th, meaning i miss the tomfoolery in derbyshire, but cant be helped, i dont want to ride long distances, just enjoy the roads, any input welcome

  8. sorry bud, cant understand your gripe?, from norton canes the road is subject to 30 mph( although there should be repeater signs cos no street lighting on a long section), then approaching the 'new' road layout ( bcos of m6 toll etc), it becomes 40 max, just b4 a roundabout?, then is 40 til a5???
  9. what colour smoke???
  10. imho, all gloves with fingers will get cold to a certain degree, those you show hav hipo membrane and thinsulate, so should be ok,,,, although,, when the gloves get wet ( as they will, even tho keeping hands dry), your thinsulate inner will be a struggle if you take off/put on?, cos your hands will be moist( from slight perspiration)! those "two fingered" type gloves tend to keep your fingers warmer, so i,ve heard, but i havnt experienced so cant comment, muffs are really good, cos its the wind chill which has most effect, even with heated gloves!!!

  19. Surely that can't be right. It is right. I had to completely retrain my own driving method to pass the ADI Pt 2 driving ability test last year nearly right bogoff???, its a should , not a must, so continuos use of engine braking may lead to a culminated serious fault, but not in its own is a serious fault

    Ambulances

cant agree more, i teach in car, use mirrors every 6 seconds hav found on bike need to 'double ' this, or more, especially in situation u hav described,,,,,,,,,,,,,,? you should have known the ambo was approaching from behind,,,,,,,,,,,,, pt2,,,,,,,unless very desperate circumstances, sirens are switched off when approaching a junction where they cannot make clear progress, i.e. will not force joepublic to commmit an offence by use of siren
  23. i use scala g4, bees knees, cant fault it for comms, but expensive?aboiut £180 , i also hav a jabra bluetooththingamy, which hangs around my neck, or velcros on inside of chinguard, with earphones, which does the job for pairing with mp3 players and phone, that was about £16 ?? maybe wot u r needing?
