    Oh it's not little stones sort of gravel, more solid surface with chippings sort of thing Just didn't want to say concrete cos it's not a nice smooth tarmac, if you know what I mean

    Looking at that Mark, it seems the rain isn't necessarily the main problem - gonna be pretty windy!!!!

    I use netweather and metcheck and they're both saying similar things - v light to light rain over the weekend, maybe heavier overnight on Friday. But it'll all change by Friday!

    I just sang it as i read it Neil I'm on nights Thursday night, So its home sleep pack bike and turn up late afternoon some time. So did I - just to make sure you got the doo-wop's right!! Us more mature people rock, I say!!!!

    Well said Gareth!!!!!! I remember you being wrapped up in a blanket after we'd persuaded you that you really wanted to stay!! If I remember correctly, much alcohol was then consumed and you didn't care!!!!

    I'm sure that if you do suffer from some form of disablement you develop means of compensating for that disability!!

    Oh dear, I suspected this might start to happen now I've given the pub some attendance numbers!! So if you don't come then that would mean Mike won't be there either? If Gin's coming in the car, can't you come with her?

    I still think this is a damn good idea Megawatt - I know nothing about bike maintenance! We're bringing a 10ft square gazebo so that this can be done under cover in case of bad weather!!!!

    I symathise with her completely Mandy!! I don't worry about putting it ON th stand but absolutely HATE having to get my bike off the centrestand!! Especially on the slight upward slopeof our drive!! Spoke to the guy at the workshop today & he's adapting an old one from a bandit to fit my bike - hopefully with a spring return!

    If I'm going on the bike I'm hoping to leave here about 11am & get to the pub about 1pm ish. If biking is rained off, me and Rennie will be there about 4.30pm in the campervan

    BTW has anyone booked in a table of 20 people for a meal at 7pm on the Friday night? I said I didn't think it was any of us but I'd ask. Landlady doesn't have a name but says she needs the food pre-booked.

    Well I've just confirmed approx 40 tents, 1 campervan & 1 trailer tent with the Miner's Standard but I daresay the odd one won't make much difference!

    Hi Mandy My YBR doesn't have a sidestand either and apparently Yamaha don't make one (older & newer models have them! ) but the guy at the workshop doing my service at the moment is (hopefully) making one from another bike fit onto mine. I asked him if it was a requirement for it to be wired up to a cut-off switch and he said no. So it I'll just have to be careful!!!
