  1. Thanks Roy - that rather narrows down our options!!!!
  2. Quick question...were all the rider's value/price set pre season & stay the same or do their values change from week to week according to performance? Trying to consider our options before the transfer window opens!
  3. Not entirely sure but if I remember rightly Ruthie (member on here) has/had something similar Drop her a PM & ask
  4. Hi there and welcome to the motorbike forum - why not introduce yourself in the Newbies section? Maybe some details of what make/model helmet you have would be helpful - others might have had and resolved similar issues
  5. I'd guess you were more in the Midlands area, but a lot would depend on how far you like to ride and where other regions are riding to really - if that makes sense?! Bit tricky to make the areas more specific - we'd have loads!! We're in the Midlands in Telford but so is Derbyshire! What I mean is, people often ride from one area to another so therefore overlapping areas, so join in with anything going your way Or post up your own suggestion & see who's free to join you!

Good to see YOU'VE still got a sense of humour about it Derek!! Jeez, I'd want a lot of 'extras' with that bike (including the interest your money could've earnt elsewhere!) when I eventually got it if I were you!!!!
  7. Oh dear, sounds a bit of a nightmare from start to finish! Hopefully next time you plan a trip you'll have used up all your bad luck & it will go much better!!
  8. win,win!!
  9. A few more points in the bag for the Scratchers, what with Checa finishing in his usual spot!!! Maybe will make up for those we won't get in Moto GP
  10. Agreed!! - see http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 83&t=40833 Mine is exactly like this - scorpion on it as I'm a scorpio! Just wondered what made you go for a custom designed one rather than one of their stock items??
  11. When you say the slider do you mean the bit that goes up & down or the thing you pull? How is it broken - e.g has it come off the teeth?

  13. Cost: About £100 When bought: Approx. 2yrs ago - from GirlsBike2 Good points: They're part leather, part stretchy textile so they're comfy for sitting on the bike for a longish time & don't go saggy. Plenty long enough for me. Plain black so match with anything. Bad points: Not sure if it's a bad point but they're straight legged as opposed to slim/tapered legged & don't have zips at the bottom. This means they have to go outside your boots. I like this but others might prefer their leathers inside their boots. Also they've only got a half zip to join them to a jacket. Not sure if they're just ladies or whether they're made for blokes too.
  14. Don't forget to write us a report when you get back, along with some pics!
  15. Cost: Approx. £30 When bought: About 3yrs ago Good points: I wanted something that would make me be seen more easily but didn't want the bog standard Hi-Viz stuff as it's so not stylish! Rosie has one of these & I liked the look of it. They're sort of 'one size fits all' but are adjustable to fit nearly everyone as they have elastic cord laces at the sides & therefore they fit snugly & don't flap about The main body of the vest is made of mesh so the wind flows through and it doesn't inflate! The zip front means no velcro tabs to come undone too. The high-viz part comes in yellow or orange and there are lots of designs for the reflective panels on the back & front - you can even have your own design put on it! Bad points: None really! Except if you are smaller and have it fitting properly there is quite a bit of excess elastic cord. I just tuck it in my jacket pocket & zip the pocket up. I bought mine mail order - just google Tinwolf.
  16. Price: £250 When bought: Approx 3 years ago Good points: Excellent fit, even though it's been used for a good while. The design of the padding inside accommodates specs easily. IMO not overly noisy but I don't have much experience of other helmets. Several different vent thingys on it but I haven't really bothered to find out which one does what! Comes with anti fog insert (never used it though) and carrying bag. And it's pretty!! Bad points: The D ring fastening is a bit fiddly - I'd rather it had the clip fastening so that you can do it up with gloves on. Visor is a bit stiff to lift up & down. I've never tried to remove the visor so no idea if it's easy to do or not.
  17. Thanks - might think about that then Collating.....making a list of who is going on which days
  18. thanks! I should add that they weren't that expensive in comparison to some - if I remember they were less than £200 for the pair
  19. Being lazy, do you have to book for a certain day or are they open tickets? I've never been but quite fancy it if I've got enough money. You need to start collating Vicks!!
  20. Rennie has recently had the Avon Storm Ultra's fitted. Hasn't put that many miles on them yet but he seems pretty happy with how they're performing so far
  21. Tells us nothing (apart from who invented it!) that someone with half a brain could've worked out for themselves!
  22. Ooooo the scatchers are making progress!!!!!
