  1. Hi, l hope Tommy goes on to win it. l think his gestures were pure emotion, he wears his heart on his sleeve for sure but that's what makes him watchable. He makes me laugh. Whereas l just don't like the Irish boy there is something about him l can't put my finger on. Anyway, may the best man win! Roll on Donny Park.
  2. Hi, well it looks the part. For me, how thick is the yokes where you have put the risers and what size bolts are holding them in place?
  3. Hi, welcome aboard!
  4. Hi, welcome, you have made a good choice. I have the XSR, the motor makes it! There is a XSR forum for all the usual stuff, the only difference is the styling on the Tracer.
  5. Glad you are ok and all is well. Now unless you were unable, if that was me, the first thing l would have wanted to do was pick the bike up, not take off my helmet and pack and take a picture.
  6. Hi, yes that sort of thing, thanks. I'm not looking to see if it's raining on the back 3 corners of the course type thing, but l do like to see if it's gonna rain in the afternoon. Can l get there and back before it pisses down? These days l like my 2 wheel fix to be as warm and dry as possible, it's an age thing.
  7. I like Meteoradar on the laptop but it's not designed for a phone.
  8. Hi, I'm looking for a decent Rain Radar App for android, what are folks using? Nick
  9. Hi, I can recommend these, used for a few years now, as long as your battery is in good health to start with. I think they are great for the money. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/206242
  10. Hi, not sure if this has been mentioned but a lot of bikes nowadays, the cables have a teflon coating and don't need oiling. In fact oiling them just makes them stiffer because they collect dust and crap. I'd go down the Old Codger route and take the cable off and see how knackered it is and maybe just get a new one. Shorter levers will make no difference either. Good luck, lovely day for it!
  11. Hi, l like what you are trying to achieve. For me l just have a look when l get home, I wonder what that place near so and so is. Especially since you have the route tracked already.
  12. ha haar.. I'm guessing blue, blue and white maybe tri colour for the Honda. Marrakesh blue sounds about right for the beemer..
  13. Hi, thanks for all the answers, this is what l have found out. You have to notify DVLA of a change of colour. They can fine you up to £1000 if you don't. That includes wraps. If your log book is ok then your insurance should also be ok, the colour is not on your insurance policy. Not mine anyway, Bennetts. A friend wanted to be able to change the colour of his bike as he wished. The insurance issue was raised but l think as long as it is declared with DVLA everything should be good to go.
  14. Hi, if you were to change the colour of your bike do you need to inform your insurance company, that's the question. Say something happened and you were in the claims process, the bike is at the garage and the garage says yes red Honda for example and the insurance says no, it says blue on the policy, could they cancel your claim?
  15. Hi, check the fuses and the connections to the fuel tank, have a good route about and clean as you go would be where I would start.
  16. Hi, Do people not follow up with how they got on on here? Would be good to know how it got sorted...
  17. Jokes about white sugar are rare, jokes about brown sugar, demerara..
  18. Hi, I have in the past gone on the bike while the family have gone in 4 wheels, but to a cottage type accommodation. I am currently looking for a Motolug type trailer to tow behind my camper so I can take my bike also. That's gonna be the best of both worlds I think, what could possibly go wrong?
  19. Hi, long time biker just hanging out, seeing what's going on, like you do. Hi to all..
