  1. It's hard to see what the inner ring is from that one pic. Have you tried to move it, is it part of some earlier repair that has pushed in? In the tube video there doesn't look to be anything like that visible. If you are going to take the engine out and split the crank cases you will see for sure what's going on. Lot of work though and factor in a load of extra cost, gaskets n stuff, there is always extra stuff. Good experience though you will learn tons if you don't mind getting your hands dirty.
  2. I live on the edge of the fens, the fen roads are all collapsing into the soft ground, undulating. Not inspiring at all. In the opposite direction is the Lincoln edge and hilly twisty roads out towards Stamford, Melton Mowbray, Grantham etc. No contest which way I always head out. I used to really like going over to Amsterdam and the like many moons ago, when we all smoked and drank. Great place to visit 30 years ago. I'm happy to have those memories, not really a fan of the city break these days, prefer the peace and quiet. It's an age thing I think.
  3. Hi, the drain bolt goes directly into the crank case so you would have to split the cases, engine out, bits everywhere job. For me I'd be looking at ways to re-tap it using another helicoil or similar, larger bolt maybe, it's on the side so you can get at it at least.
  4. Looks like brioche.. or something American..
  5. Hi, could you add me as number 73, thanks
  6. Never be afraid to ask questions, someone will always help you.
  7. An air fryer is a small electric fan oven, because of its size they heat up and cook very quickly. That's what the wife says, l just compliment her and am thankful when she dishes up the tucker..
  8. I used one like the one on the left in the Amazon link. It worked ok for what it was. The cheapness was in the bracket itself, the alloy is barely metal, almost plastic alloy, I'm not describing it very well but you get my drift.
  9. Yeah maybe, l do like to give people the benefit of the doubt. For me, l politely declined the WhatsApp invite. She did say she had a few friends from here on. They will be the ones who know her the best l guess. There was always the thing of 'which way is this going to go ' with her pics and the neighbour...
  10. Or get a battery powered GPS Speedo, give yourself a digital readout with no cables..
  11. Yeah, I remember thinking 'what is your game , young lady'..
  12. What made you think she was a scammer?
  13. Don't quote me but I think LEDs work a bit like Christmas tree lights and the leccy has to flow in a certain direction. I hate electrics it fries my tiny brain. One thing l can tell you for sure, on the xsr forum, nearly all the leccy problems come from fitting aftermarket goodies, especially led's.
  14. Hi if you chose a tail tidy with led's they won't be plug and play.
  15. Don't you know anyone with a towbar that could help? Cost about £50 for half a day and you could wheel it straight on. No need to strip it down, which sounds like a nightmare to me, no getting the missis car filthy. Anyway food for thought, good luck with it, Fazer as good as anything to play with.
  16. Cheaper to hire a trailer for a morning and do it that way..
  17. I went up to Newcastle to see a friend when I was 17 on a 175 HD Cagiva two stroke. Took me ages from Lincoln, l had to stick to the A roads cos l was on L plates. No sat nav just a crumpled up map and a phone number for when you got close, must have been around 1980. Bikes used to flash their lights when you passed each other in those days. Spent a weekend there and visited an area full of bike shops, must have been Westgate rd. I got a Geordie phrase book which l still have somewhere. Wye aye man a lifetime ago, happy days.
  18. That would be good strapped to the back of a campervan for going down the beach and popping to the shops on..
  19. Update. That didn't work sadly, no signal so the phone is lost by the looks of it. He has contacted the people he needed to so stuff is safe. There are loads of apps to find and monitor phones but you have to have the app on the phone first, looks like they are designed for watching over your kids at school. Not sure an adult would want to be tracked in the same way but if it found a lost phone maybe...
  20. Wasn't someone living in her wardrobe? Can't you just ask them?
  21. Hi, yep that works for me it knows where my phone is. If he logs on to his laptop he may get lucky. I'll pass that on and see if he gets anywhere, thanks.
  22. Hi, So my youngest has lost his phone at the weekend. He is a student at Birmingham uni was probably pissed etc etc. Could anyone recommend a decent app for finding a phone? It's an android. Thanks
  23. Hi, Sounds like you are getting on ok with your 50 which is a good thing. You are saying it yourself though, you need to move up the cc's to get what you want. Once you do you'll be wondering why it took you so long.
  24. So your mate goes and buys someone's car and drives it home on their insurance? I know what I'd be telling your mate.
  25. Good choice for what you want to do.
