    Seriously need help

Dont tell them!! Just make a.massivd scene about how a bike clutch should last more than 1900miles. Regardless of who serviced it it should not have failed! If you make a big enough fuss they will back down.

Is it downhill ride on the way to work and uphill on the way home by any chance?
  4. im sat in the car in Halfords carpark, its pissing down with rain and the wind is making the car shake! great weather we're having yes...
  5. New one arrived. Planning to unsolder the terminals from the bad one and flip them around to make it usable. Then I'll have two working Cosmo power supplies.. does anyone want one?? "I do you good price" haha
  6. So come down the gears one at a time so by the time you come to a stop you can be certain you are in first gear.
  7. Those voltages don't seem too bad. Is the starter motor turning the bike over ok? Tried different choke settings? Can you get a plug cap off and check for a spark?

    Zx6r f1 oil

If It's for cars? Don't use it.
  9. Since the government (or whoever) decided to drastically cut back on the number of traffic officers in favour of fixed speed cameras, the message we can take from this is that its fine to go as fast as you like anywhere there isn't a camera as they are no longer actively policing the rest of the road network
  10. I'd agree with you if i was still on the 600. This bike seems to have power everywhere though. Keeping an s1000rr below 8k rpm, you may as well be riding a 600. At 8k they are only making about 100bhp. You need to rev them to get the real power so if you think it's powerful at 8k, just wait until you get in to the higher revs, you'll feel like it's trying to snap you arms off the first few time!
  11. Why do you never take it over 8k rpm?? That's where the fun starts!! Stop short-shifting and let it rev higher.
  12. They look quite good actually! I'm tempted by this one, I just don't think it's road legal. http://www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/cbr600-cbr-600-f1-f2-f3-f4-f5-f6-f7-2001-2007-exhaust-system-with-230mm-round-gp-style-stainless-steel-silencer-9969-p.asp Contact them and ask if it's road legal........If it's not stamped "off road use only" you're most likely ok..... Says they are here with baffle http://www.blackwidowexhausts.co.uk/silencer-specifications-23-w.asp
  13. Two different materials will always have a different refractive index and bend the light differently but i would imagine they had thought about that and made the pinlock from something with a very similar refractive index.. I've never had an issue with pinlocks at night
  14. When i had my aprilia i blew the engine so many times i negotiated dealer discount on parts... When the RS250 came out, i asked them if my dealer discount would apply to a new bike and they said it would.... Biggest mistake i ever made was not buying the RS250 with my dealer discount
  15. The motor in mine was a Rotax engine. Basically a racing engine. Not hugely reliable but great fun when running! 34bhp in a bike that weight so little with a low drag coefficient means high speeds are possible. Edit: 108mph.. http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/aprilia/aprilia_af1_125_sports_pro%2092.htm
  16. The two stroke aprilia 125cc bikes will do 100mph if de-restricted. I had one and was clocked by a couple of mates in cars at over 100mph. Derestricted they are about 32 to 34 bhp so pretty pokey with a great powerband!
  17. Just noticed it recorded the ride and gives nice graphs of speed.. Nice app so I just bought all the maps. Worth supporting them i reckon!
  18. Tried it today. Not bad. It picked a good route home. It gives pretty clear instructions but doesn't say the road names when asking you to turn so if there are two roads close together it could be misleading.. will need to try it some more i reckon
  19. it would make sense as some people share cars and wouldn't necessarily know who was driving at a certain time on a certain date, so seeing a photo would clarify that.
  20. so running a police force with all the sensitive young petals who faint at the sight of a broken fingernail must be an HR nightmare... I bet thats a huge contributing factor to the decision to scrap traffic cops because as you say the traffic officers would regularly have to deal with some gory roadkill... so rather than have the majority of officers off on stress-leave, just use cameras instead that are far enough away that the operators dont see the actual gore... what a world eh!?
  21. lots of arse covering going on there...
  22. It's a self perpetuating problem. Less police means more bad driving, so instead of increasing police presence they lower the speed limits in the hope the advances in safety systems will mean for the same number of accidents less people will die. Somebody somewhere must be making a lot of money as more and more speed cameras are appearing but clearly the revenue collected isn't put back into making the roads safer by dealing with the tailgaters and bad driving. Being a police officer must be both quite rewarding but also often a thankless task, but if the new recruits complain to management when they need to deal with something messy, they really shouldn't be in the job. I blame the "cotton wool bubble wrap society" that makes people think they shouldn't have to deal with difficult situations and if they do they are entitled to stress leave... And these are the people tasked with keeping us safe from terrorists and others who will gladly cut an innocent persons head off in the middle of a busy shopping center.... Sleep safe everybody!
  23. I don't think that would ever have crossed our minds TC old chap. Exactly, just getting all our ducks in a line so to speak
  24. If they are part of a sat nav, it is legal, (I have camera warning on my sat nav) If it is a lazer or radar detector it is not illegal to sell one, it is the use of which is illegal. But then it is illegal to speed, but that doesn't stop people When did laser/radar detectors become illegal to use? I know the jammers are illegal but thought detectors were still legal. Edit: is this outdated info?? http://www.halfords.com/advice/technology/buyers-guides/camera-detectors-buyers-guide
