  1. Well done on the pass!! But that's got to be worth some compensation surely!! Small claims court for failing to provide the service you paid for, compensation for test fees, bike rental, and lost day of work.. Go on, sue the buggers! Haha
  2. Tonight whilst driving about getting the baby to sleep, i popped into the drive through McDonalds. Having been stitched up by them in the past forgetting items from my order, i checked the bag to make sure my order was correct. Sure enough they had forgotten the curry source dip!!! Criminals!!! So i drove back into the drive through, confused the person at the first window by telling them I was only there for the source they had forgotten... Got to the second Window where you pay, explained the situation and he was very apologetic - we had some friendly banter... Got to the third Window where you collect the food and the woman handed me a bag of food!! Now had I been the dishonest (or very hungry) type i could have take the food and sped off, but I'm an honest memeber of society, not actually hungry, and i just wanted my curry dip, so i explained she had forgotten my dip and she gave me handfulls of curry dip - more curry dip than any man could possible eat with just six nuggets to dip in!! So it seems there is no mechanism for McDonalds to register a car passing through the drive through to collect a mistake meaning you will get handed someone elses meal, most likely the person who ordered after you... Free food!!
  3. Search eBay for used power commanders. They come up quite regularly. Get the regulator sorted first though.
  4. You got a proper blasting cabinet or some other clever solution?
  5. Sounds very cool
  6. do the DAS, the longer you've held your full licence, the cheaper the insurance gets so don't wait until your bored of a 125 to take your test
  7. When the fork seals on my GSXR started leaking i swapped out the forks for new forks with K-tech internals... Made a huge difference to the handling and of course the seals didn't leak anymore!
  8. Why are people stripping so many threads!!?? Stop using torque wrenches and do it by feel. Mark the nut/bolt with Tipex and check them regularly for rotation if you're worried.. once happy they are not moving scrape off the Tipex. No threads stripped!!
  9. It's likely to be fine... Take some pics of the sprockets, let's have a look how worn they are. It's not difficult but its not much fun either to change a chain and sprockets.
  10. Yes, stop buying old crappy stuff!!
  11. Exactly. You can't expect a flat bit of old cow skin from a knackered sofa to work well stretched over a curved motorbike seat!
  12. That chain looks very slack...
  13. Anonymous tip off to the cops required
  14. Cant do anything about the noise of redoing a driveway, but blocking a driveway is an offence, If you've asked them nicely to move and they refuse, the police will tell them to.
  15. If it was a gentle accident the forks might just need realignment. Stand in front of your bike with a leg each side of the front wheel and push/pull on the handlebars to force the bars to be aligned. You may need to slacken the retaining bolts a little to allow the forks to move.
  16. Do you mean turning the adjuster al the way down? Then adjusting the slack near the shifter? You need to adjust everything so that when you pull the clutch lever, the cable is pulled as far as possible. So, turn the dial on the new lever so that the lever is furthest away from the handle bar, then turn the cable adjusters counterclockwise so there is very little slack in the cable.
  17. Haha i like that plan! We are considering moving out its getting that bad. Moving kentish area move to Sevenoaks, i need some local bike buddies
  18. turn the dial to 6, then adjust out all the slack in the cable. if that doesnt work, the levers arent suitable as they dont have enough pull.
  19. you're not too far away from me, drop me your address. If he doesn't like the sounds of your 125cc, i'll take a ride to your neighbours house and show him what a un-baffled, flame spitting, litre bike sounds like...
  20. so, congratulations on the new engineering job! if the new boss didnt worry about the caution, maybe he's had one himself for beating up the last person who did the job you just took!
  21. The chain and motorcycle attached to it? would have to spin the whole shed around with the bike still inside!
  22. If you failed your MOT you now don't have an MOT. you shouldn't be out riding with no MOT
  23. Would work better if you stuck it through the bike thief instead of the floor!
  24. But don't tell everyone. It's still handy sometimes to be able to use the "Scary Biker" card
