  1. Off topic, but we used to record no sound for 2mins, then the noise of a baby screaming or some other annoying noise, take the CD into Dixons and put it into one of the CD players, crank it to full volume, walk away... 2mins later WAAAAAA Wahhhhaaaa... fun and games
  2. Is it free to come and watch??
  3. As for online marketing, they way to do it is to become "an authority" on what you are selling. Take a look at this site: authorityhacker.com You don't need to pay them anything they offer lots of stuff for free on how to build yourself up as an "authority" and build traffic to your site.
  4. And also recommend the hotels with secure parking. That's a major factor for many people with expensive bikes - they don't want to to book a place from the internet that looks good only to arrive at 10pm tired from a long days ride and discover the parking is not secure. Need to be able to relax knowing your bike is safe.
  5. Is it available in green??
  6. I'm lazy. Can't be bothered with research, just want to turn up and be told where to ride and where's good to stay and eat. I'm probably the target audience! Lol
  7. Was the grimmest looking kids entertainment place ever!! Inside it was actually quite good. Went there for a kids party so I was left in the car with the sleeping baby...
  8. It can't be any worse!! I'm currently sat in a carpark with a sleeping baby with my four year old doing softplay in the grimmest looking softplay centre I've ever seen...
  9. No idea why we still live in overcrowded, broken Britain when places like that exist not far away...
  10. Well done beefy! Welcome to the A-team
  11. to be honest I wouldn't want the pressure on the seals all the time especially if you lay the bike up for some time although light pressure wouldn't hurt Yeah good point.. might be useful when parking for short periods of time though, kind of like a hand brake for bikes! Will never happen though as manufacturers have little interest in preventing theft as it would reduce sales of replacement bikes.
  12. It's a shame bikes with ABS can't retain the pressure in the brakes when the ignition shuts off. That could effectively lock the wheel and make the bike impossible to roll without cutting brake likes which then makes it unridable.
  13. I remember in my youth getting a taxi to court because I was already on 6 points and was convinced I was going to get banned! Luckily the magistrate took into account my situation (needed car to get to university) and only gave me 5 more points so for the next few years I was driving like a grandma as I knew another set would take my licence away... That's the point of the hard 12point limit to make people slow down and think about what they are doing... But as soon as people realise that 12point limit is flexible the incentive to slow down has gone...
  14. heres a thought - if the chain was covered in the same stuff they make Chainsaw trousers from, would it block the grinder in the same way it stalls the chainsaw?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah-FmYnaIWw
  15. Looks the same as my HJC RPHA ST
  16. So a bit like this thread - only able to talk to yourself!
  17. Once you signed it over its not your problem. You get proof of postage and that's all you need.
  18. You have to scoff a big greasy smelly bacon sandwich right in front of them and watch them turn green
  19. Dispite what people think, chains don't stretch! No road bike has the power to stretch the steel links regardless of how brutal you are with the throttle. Chains get longer as the holes in the links wear from being round to being elongated. It's not the power that makes them wear it's the friction over time and I don't think 1000miles is enough time to wear the holes enough to ruin a chain.... unless you lube your chain with sand mixed with diamond dust or something seriously abrasive!
  20. Simple, next time you buy a new chain, hang it from the ceiling and measure it's length and let us know, ride 1000miles, remove the chain, measure it again and let us know the new measurements, then send it back to DID as a warranty claim. If they validate the claim, we will accept that as proof. You have nothing to loose, you get a fee chain
  21. I still find it hard to believe you are killing a new chain in 1000miles, but if you are, D.I.D chains have a 6month /10,000 mile warranty so i hope you're getting them replaced for free! I put 8k on the D.I.D chain on the tl with lots of rough arse wheelies it's still on the bike now that my brother uses to commute on in all weather's!! I also rode it like I stole it all the time! Exactly. I think anyone who thinks they ride hard enough on the road to destroy a chain in 1000miles needs to prove it....
  22. You either buy really cheap crappy chains or you have zero mechanical sympathy!! I always buy DID chains but like anything if you ride it hard you will wear it out quicker. Mechanically my bikes are always looked after and serviced/ regular oil changes. You can destroy a chain in a single day at a track I still find it hard to believe you are killing a new chain in 1000miles, but if you are, D.I.D chains have a 6month /10,000 mile warranty so i hope you're getting them replaced for free!
  23. they have great potential.. This is the GT550 converter to be a Cafe Racer http://thebikeshed.cc/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Auto-Fabrica-Type-One-Rside-2.jpg
  24. Brilliant, I can legally fit L-plates to my bike and go out and see if people really do treat learners differently, or if its complete paranoia from people with L-plates. I'm sick of people tailgating me. I hate it most when it's dark because their headlights constantly in my mirrors is slightly unnerving. Not helped by all these 20mph zones on main roads in London. I can understand using them in side roads and narrow streets but main roads? But none of that will change by removing the L-plates.... This is a prime example is where someone blames the L-plates for the way they are treated when in reality the cars are always going to tailgate a biker doing the speed limit.
  25. I always go before and try stuff on to get sizes etc... But the shop near me seems so much more expensive than the internet so I try, get sizes then buy online Then it won't be there much longer if it's not making any sales!! Tell them you've seen it cheaper online and chances are they will drop the price. Don't use them as a free fitting room - the reason they are more expensive is that they have all the bills associated with running an actual shop to pay and aren't a faceless internet site.
