nman1 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 "Well we ran with the gang, as we sand shang-a-lang, singing do wap de doo we doo do." How bloody sad is that, knowing the words, comes from having an older sister who idolised the useless gits. I just sang it as i read it Neil I know Dave, I`m turning red now. Perhaps thats why I turned out to be a "punk" in the late 70`s, bring on the sex pistols and public image ltd.
littlecat Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 dont know how early i will be able to get , depends whether i can get little un picked up from school...if so will head up mid afternoon, if not will leave here when her dad picks her up, hopefully by half 5 at the latest.i really dont fancy riding the thundercat on grass, wet or otherwise, will i be able to leave her in the carpark?

Susieque Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 i really dont fancy riding the thundercat on grass, wet or otherwise, will i be able to leave her in the carpark? Yes, there's quite a large gravelled hardstanding at the bottom of the camping field
littlecat Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 ..you said gravel???? my other pet hate lol.think i better get up there in the week and do a quick recce.
Susieque Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Oh it's not little stones sort of gravel, more solid surface with chippings sort of thing Just didn't want to say concrete cos it's not a nice smooth tarmac, if you know what I mean
Decor58 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 It's not too bad lilcat, just keep the bike upright and in second gear taking it slow and it's fine.If you really don't like it there will be plenty of people around who could maneouver the bike to where you want it for you.
Grumpy Old Git Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 It's not too bad lilcat, just keep the bike upright and in second gear taking it slow and it's fine.If you really don't like it there will be plenty of people around who could maneouver the bike (via most of North Derbyshire) to where you want it for you.
Grumpy Old Git Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 ive got to go up to grantham friday morning and should be away from there about 12 to try and find my way using homing pidgeon senses so should be there by ........................god knows when A52 West (to Nottingham). Follow the ring road. Pass the Hospital (Queens Med). Stay on Dual Carriageway under flyover. Ar R/Bout go Rt/lft (i.e. straight on as it is staggered). Follow dual carriageway (whatch out for speed cameras) and, when signposted 'MATLOCK' turn left (Traffic lights). Follow road all the way to Motorway. Under Motorway and head for Matlock / Buxham. At 'T' junction (Traffic lights), turn right for Matlock. Under railway bridge and at 'T' junction turn right for Matlock Bath. At Matlock Bath turn left then right onto Via Geller and from there follow everyone else!!!
DeeJ Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Just done some website stickers.I have fitted one to my visor to show you.http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n281/djowen01/IMAG0350.jpghttp://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n281/djowen01/IMAG0348.jpgI cut it in half between r & B, so it can be manipulated to use on any visor.Or can send it in 1 piece to fit to your motorbike.Posting it on here, because I will be bringing some to the Rally. And will fit them for youThey will be £1 each.
spafe2302 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 might go for one of these, but will have to see how much it would bug me to have writing on my visor, do look rather nifty (do people still use that word? if not, why not!)
Susieque Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I've got some of the original ones from Vicki, for the bike & my visor. Just need my bike back to put them on!! Rennie's got one on his visor - gonna ask him what it's like having it on there.
Jixerman Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I'll be getting there between 5 and 6 probably. Unpacking then having a nice, cold pint Aiming to be there about that time tooBike trailers booked just got to collect it in the a.m. Why have I got a mental image of Jix's bike on a trailer, with Jix sat on it while the missus drives the car....? Don't forget to lean in the corners!!! The missus doesn't drive, so that's not going to happen...............at least it won't on the way there or back
Decor58 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Fancy dress has arrived!! Looks pretty cool too. Though I think it might look a bit better with a wig but I'll see if I have time to get one.

GarethNW Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 Checking my bike over last night, I noticed the front tire has a very small crack forming right at the edge of the grip (not the wall but the tire itself)Guess I am destined to not go on the rally ride out Next year will be 3rd time lucky.Going to have to come in the car with Trish. Gutted.
