Grumpy Old Git
yep - Some of us on here are 'OLD' Looking at the "dotGov" website, there is a link to pension age calculator - This puts me at 'retirement' at 65 and the pension (if there is still one by then!). However, the same site links to a 'Free Bus Pass Age Calculator' which, appanantly, has to be based on the womans age grouping. This calculates that I will not be due a 'free' pass until i am 67! How can this be correct?(Don't even look at the 'Winter Fuel Supplement') Anyone any 'sensible' answers?

XmisterIS
It's too far away for me to even contemplate at the moment! I reckon they'll probably have hovering busses on the Moon with robot drivers and the retirement age will be 80 by the time I get old. siamia
Id love a free bus pass Everything is so far away here that the cheapest fare is always more than a daysaver so its £6 no matter what!
Nogin
Its a shame you cannot trade your free bus pass in for free fuel!

Tango
There's plenty that retired people can do:What Do Retired People Do All Day?Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.Well, for example, the other day my wife and I went into town and went into a shop.We were only in there for about 5 minutes. When we came out, there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. We went up to him and said, 'Come on man, how about giving a senior citizen a break?'He ignored us and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi turd. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tyres. So my wife called him a sh*t-head. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more we abused him, the more tickets he wrote.Personally, we didn't care. We came into town by bus. We try to have a little fun each day now that we're retired. It's important at our age. Grumpy Old Git
Its a shame you cannot trade your free bus pass in for free fuel! I think I'll write to my local MP - Then again, as it is Djangoly, he would not consider 'pushing' for that (usless twohat). How about a free airline pass to Amsterdam - BRING BACK THE 60's.
