As the IT topic is currently split between IT, Games and Board games I figured I would setup a board games topic.

Haha.. This is going to end up being about cluedo and monopoly now, rather than Twilight Empirium and Axis and Allies!

(Card against humanities is totally in this thread aswell..)

BUT FORGET ABOUT THOSE...

Let's talk about livestock.

Mmm, cows. Sure are tasty.

What are your thoughts on organic vs non-organic farming?

Or anything else completely unrelated to board games?

Pass The Bomb is a fantastic, simple and fun board game...unless you suggest your dad plays it forgetting that he lost his arm to an IRA bomb...

*oops*!!!

(I genuinely don't see him as any different to anyone else, hence the major hiccup!)

Maple syrup? But it has to be the good stuff, not the crappy supermarket type that's bulked up with various fruit syrups. We have a huge bottle that my other half brought back from a trip to Canada in the summer, it's awesome. She also brought back a crapton of beef jerky and peanut butter M&Ms, but they didn't last as long

Big Ooops, but I am sure he understood 9well hope so at least).

the human brain is a strange thing, i am missing part of my right index finger, adults never notice even if it put up my two hands next to each other and say look.

kids however notice pretty much straight away until they are about 8 or 9 years old.

Adults don't notice a full size person on a full size bike with lights and noise on the road so your finger doesn't stand a chance!

anyways back to BOARD GAMES BOARD GAMES BOARD GAMES!

I've just purchased the MotoGP Monopoly. It's in English and Spanish so I can build my hotel empire whilst learning a second language.

Haha that sounds cool Hoggs!

I've got World of Warcraft Monopoly and Hobbit one too.. My other half thought I was ruthless playing Monopoly until he played with my nan too! She managed to swindle everyone playing with crafty tactics.. Was amazing!

Has anyone played gloom?

I've played Gloom once on a rather awkward date, it was quite a good laugh even if the rest of the evening wasn't

I never realised there were so many different version of Monopoly... I think I need one where the pieces all velcro to the board and the board clamps onto the table so that the game survives when someone flips it. My family do NOT play fair.

Anyway, back off topic...

Porridge. Does anyone ACTUALLY enjoy porridge, or is it all just Scottish people pretending to so that they can add a little bit more to their national identity? Personally I think that they already have more than enough what with haggis, bagpipes, incomprehensible accents, and men in skirts.

This is actually a little bit genius... but as you hate board games so much I'll take this idea off yoru hands.... ;)

Au contraire, I had a Cluedo party a couple of weekends ago! Everyone had to come dressed in the colour of their character and drink every time they entered a room. Cue me repeatedly calling people back into the same room over and over to make them drink more

We have three sets of tarot cards lying around, one is a Hello Kitty deck. It's all greek to me though.

I've always been a Pictionary man. As mentioned in the earlier thread, I love a good game of Risk, but I always have trouble finding people to play against.
