MR_W Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Any suggestions on a decent backpack that is waterproof so can keep clothes dry in the wet? Don't want to break the bank on it, but I should be able to commute more on the bike in future. Quote
Hoggs Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Hmm I'm sure there are good ones about but I find zips are always a bit iffy. Have you looked at liners? Im thinking of getting one as will be travelling more hopefully! Something like this http://m.evanscycles.com/products/ospre ... l-ec107343they come in different sizes but as I already have a few different sized bags I'm thinking buy a bigger one and scrunch it down for the smaller ones Quote
soll Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 kreiga r20, r25, r35 depending on size.I own the r35 its fully water proof and ok its £134 but imo worth it Quote
Arwen Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 If you already have a backpack that you like/is comfortable then I would recommend getting an Ortlieb dry bag and using it as a liner bag for wet days. They are fantastic dry bags, never had any water get through them.I don't use a rucksack so cannot really recommend any of them. RantMachine Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 +1 on using a drybag as a liner in any old backpack.Or get a cheap backpack with a raincover that wraps around it and pulls tight, that's all I've got (£15 Tesco thing with a drawstring raincover). Keeps the rain out longer than any of my bike gear does! Or my topbox, for that matter, Quote
Tango Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Kreiga is good gear......my tailback has seen some biblical rain and never leaked...... If you're on a budget these things are supposed to be quite good.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00NVFE ... ref=plSrch Quote
Six30 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Yeh Kreiga, good kit , not got a back pack by Kreiga but tail pack has not let me down in the wet. Quote

Joeman Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 The drybags double up as good pillows when camping. Trap enough air inside and they are great! Quote
