I'm voting out but I fear to many people will not bother voting and this will make it an unfair vote due to the low numbers. This is one issue we should all vote on. Also if we leave then the Scotts will want another referendum and hopfully they will f*** off this time and we won't have to listen to that whiney bint moaning about how hard done to they are again and how they should have another vote to decide.

Quality of life in mainland europe seems much higher than here in the UK, and leaving the EU will likely widen the gap further.

Personally, i dont care. we'll get shafted either way and i have no loyalties or allegiance to the UK so i'll gladly up-sticks and move when it all gets too broken for me to stay here.

One of my biggest concerns is how on earth anyone expects us to be able to handle the sheer volume of visa applications that we'll receive the second that we leave the EU and tens of thousands of people who were prevoously free to work here need one in order to continue doing so. It already takes them six to none months per application, once you factor in the sheer volume and the further delays it will cause, I'm deeply concerned that a huge portion of our workforce (and consumer base) will disappear overnight and most likely resettle on the mainland while waiting for their Visa approval... And by then, will they want to return to a country that booted them out?

Look no further than Norway there doing very nicely only difference is that they have a government that put the country first.

I'm for staying in. Having worked closely with the EU Commission for many years (albeit in one fairly niche area) I have to say they are a damn site more efficient at getting things done than our lot. Sometimes, having our politicians told what they are going to do, how they are going to do it and by when can be quite handy.

And it'll be another kicking for George Galloway, which is always a bonus.

I'm with Joeman and Rant on this one.. A few years ago I was an Adamant 'out' and couldn't see how anyone would choose elsewise.. However with the government we have in at the moment, I look between them and the EU and suddenly being part of the clan doesn't seem like such a bad idea!

If we had a different government in place then my choice may be different but I don't want to be left with just the Tories.. Just my 2 pence!

Either way the electorate will get the blame.

Used to think we may as well stay in, then I just didn't care. Then I decided it would be interesting to see what happened as people think it will/won't work economically.

Just about all there is to it really.

If I'm going to get f**ked either way, I'd rather choose and make the bed I lie in.

But i'm with out, I would rather our decisions be made by people who LIVE here, and by a government we as a country elect into power. I do see a lot of hate for the tories but i think they're doing a good job. Unfortunately they took over from a government who decided that spending every penny and giving everyone every little thing they asked for, so they had to do a bit of the old tough love to get us back on track.

I agree with this.

But I will be voting to stay in. Out politicians are in the most part only interested in increasing their own and their friends wealth and influence. If we vote out, I can see them getting even more ruthless with cuts. The wealthy-poor divide will get bigger and bigger, which is not good or healthy for the country as a whole.

As a country we get a lot of business from being in the EU. That would more than certainly be cut off for a few years at least if we left, and I doubt it would recover completely. What I do not agree with is people moving into the UK without first having a job, or a skill/profession that we are short of. We need more control over that.

If we are discussing change for changes sake, I would vote Scotland out of the UK but keep Scotland in the EU. I did actually vote No in the referendum, as no side could answer my questions and concerns to my satisfaction. I do want to stay in the EU however. So if we leave the EU and another independence referendum occurs, I'll be voting to leave the UK.

I did not vote for the prats that are in Westminster, I never have. Most of them have no idea what life is actually like in the rest of the country outwith the home counties. If they don't know and are unwilling to relate to what life is like elsewhere, how can they run the country in the best way possible for most of the people.

I think we need some sort of benign dictatorship. As long as I'm the dictator - that goes without saying...

No matter who wins, everyone is unhappy it seems.

Problem we have is we all have different situations and circumstances so we won't agree. At the end of the day, Everyone who wanted/could vote, did. The majority won. If people feel so strongly about their party not being in power they should do something about it apart from moaning all the time.

The SNP have some great MPs in their party now who want change for the better.

I'm not going to keep going as I don't want this thread to become Left vs Right, I like having good friends on here

Though, on a slightly side ways note, if the UK decides to leave the EU and Trump gets into power over in great USA, sorry guys but I am bailing ship!

Edit: Glorian, I completely agree with you actually, even though I didn't vote Tory and don't really agree with there policies..

However they won the majority and that's what the country has to accept as a repercussion of their own choices. I do think that the voting system at the moment is skewed but equally , would I have wanted 13% UKIP government? Nope. Not a chance in hell.
