RantMachine Posted April 4, 2016 Share Posted April 4, 2016 We don't have to, if general consensus on the day is that people want to do the Berkhampstead route (which I must admit looks quite nice) or Hadleigh (Essex, ick) then I'm happy enough pottering along to the start point to meet everyone then going my own merry way. I'm only planning to grab a drink then see if i can grab a sandwhich and eat it at the castle (I imagine there is a field to laze about on)Only doing about 20 miles to the castle from the pub, little back roads and lanes.
