Doom64 Posted March 2, 2017 Share Posted March 2, 2017 Hello, I ordered a new x ring chain for my cb250rs, it was supposed to be a split link but a rivet link came with it.I am testing different speockets at the moment so I don't want to rivet it in at the moment, would it be possible to swap the rivet master link to a split link as long as it's still got o rings in it instead?The chain on it at the moment has a split link. Westbeef Posted March 6, 2017 Share Posted March 6, 2017 if you have a split link you shouldn't need to remove anything, except maybe the covers - you might need to take all the slack off on the rear wheel. You can remove the clip off the split link with some pliers and slide the plate off.
