Hello guys, I’m going to be doing a coolant change on my sv650s just wondered what coolant anyone recommends?

Thanks!

Use any known brand of pre-mix then you don't have to buy de- ionised water as well . Halfords etc.

I always find it false economy to buy premixed!

With concentrate the mix ratio is probably best at 33% so you could go 10 litres of water to 5 litres of coolant which gives you 15 litres of coolant for a little more than what 5 litres of premixed would cost you.

5 litres of premixed is £20 = £4 a litre

5 litres of concentrate is £26 plus 10 litres of water £7 so £33 for 15 litres = £2.20 a litre

even a 50/50 mix is £2.95 a litre

Maybe its the Yorkshireman in me

That link shows pictures of dogs. Do you use dogs as coolant? If so what breed?

I never considered it from an economic point of view . I meant that you don't have to buy it rather than you don't have to pay for it . Good point though.
