learningtofly Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 (edited) I've been drooling over the 2019 Diavel S for a while now, but tomorrow morning the nice chaps at On Yer Bike in Aylesbury are giving me their tester (just in and currently still in the workshop) to take out for a ride. 1262cc, 159bhp, 129NM... an absolute beast of a bike and almost unique in it's hybrid (some might say strange) sports/cruiser styling and performance.I don't think I've ever fallen for the looks of a bike as much, so it'll be interesting to see what it feels like to ride it. If I like it as much as I think/hope I will, I'll have my no. 1 objective for 2020 sorted! Edited April 5, 2019 by learningtofly Quote
smallfrowne Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I don't get it but I like that you're excited. Quote

Arwen Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Enjoy! I really like the Diavel. Although the few I've sat on I've been surprised by the very plasticy feel of them Quote

geofferz Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 More power than you could use on the road, looks mean AF, and that single sided swingarm... Pricetag is erm premium so try a few other things too to make sure it's worth it! Also cos testing bikes is just plain fun. I do hope you like it, gets a good mcn and visordown write up. Quote
The Hitcher Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 There was one there last week when I was getting my bike serviced, they look so cool . Quote
Marino Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Fantastic bike, good looking and fantastic on the road, Acceleration is phenomenal it is good in the corners, nod as speed triple but stil fast. Quote

Gerontious Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Saw one in the flesh.. 5 years ago at the Kaiser Franz-Josefs Höhe when I went away with Snod Blatter That rarest of Ducatis. out, on the road when there was snow about and most remarkably... absolutely filthy. which gave it instant kudos. Joeman Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 Not a lot of BHP for such a massive engine considering its supposed to be a sports/naked hybrid.Tidying up the numberplate will be tricky.. Quote
learningtofly Posted April 7, 2019 Author Posted April 7, 2019 Not a lot of BHP for such a massive engine considering its supposed to be a sports/naked hybrid.Tidying up the numberplate will be tricky.. It’s incredibly torquey though (and it seemed like a lot of power to a relative novice like me). Quote
Joeman Posted April 7, 2019 Posted April 7, 2019 No quickshifter either by the looks of things in the video. That's as suprise. Quote
learningtofly Posted April 8, 2019 Author Posted April 8, 2019 No quickshifter either by the looks of things in the video. That's as suprise. Quick shifter with auto-blipper. I do refer to that later in the video. Quote

Better than the 86bhp the 1.8L harley fatbob puts out. Torquey, apparently, but nothing happened when I opened it up on my test ride.Custom bracket under the seat to hang the plate should work. Quote
Gin Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Oooooh Always liked these (although I look ridiculous on them). Quote
