Did you solve the original "lights not working" problem

No lights no power at all, noticed the rectifiyer regulator getting hot is this normal as never noticed this before.

Rectifier seems roasting as never noticed this before is this normal or could this be problem?

Semi thinking it could be solenoid as it seemed to drain battery even when switched off.. (arrrgghh :crybaby: (doin my freaking Heid in,, )(aye am Scottish )

Don't think it's a wiring problem if it starts with a jump either charging or problem with the starter

So you think it will still charge up if there is a loose wire ? How does the power get INTO the battery ?

Replaced starter couple month ago so surely it's not starter,, anyhow it does start as long as fresh power is getting to it.??

Yes definitely correct battery think it's reggy/reccy, so think that is my next attempt as its cheaper option..

Hi all

Seems the reggy/reccy was faulty, changed it then it's fired up as usual started up 5 times now all seems okay.
